It was quite unexpected with the way things played out with the TRIGGER and Idolish7’s reunion at Sound Sail broadcast. Due to conflict between CEO Yaotome Sousuke and the station’s higher-ups, Sousuke made the order to pull TRIGGER from the broadcast, regardless of the fact the majority of their fans were in the audience. The producers were frantically looking for someone to substitute TRIGGER, but many groups were not willing to put themselves in such an unfavourable situation, except for Idolish7, who jumped onto the opportunity as soon as they were asked. It took a lot of courage to do so, and was even bittersweet to have sung the song that was stolen from them on TRIGGER’s behalf, but it was absolutely worth it. They nailed it.

Putting themselves in a difficult situation where the audience are a bunch of displeased fans who came to see TRIGGER perform is admirable. It just goes to show the boys’ went into this with such a great mentality, to do their best to enable the fans to at least have fun. When the fans weren’t having it, seeing Tamaki unapologetically telling them to “SHUT UP” was absolute gold. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen after that, but he had a good follow up, explaining to the fans they are disappointed too in not being able to see their role models perform. Top it off with Riku apologizing to the fans, and humbly expressed they can’t compare to TRIGGER, but at the very least, they hope they can entertain them.

On the other end of the spectrum, I felt horrible for TRIGGER. They are at the studio, but shortly before they are due to perform, their manager tells them they are pulling out from the broadcast. And seeing Idolish7 perform their song on their behalf, makes them feel ashamed of betraying their fans. As easy as it sounds to simply go out there and perform anyways, they can’t, it is too reckless. Sousuke can and will single-handily end them himself if he wanted to. In fact we saw more of Sousuke’s obsession of being in complete control, and how profits are more important than caring for the employees, his idols, and their fans.

Watching Idolish7 have the chance to sing Let’s SUMMER again, was so satisfying to watch. It is definitely my one of my favourite tracks  from the show so far. But at the same time, it amuses me greatly how Sousuke feels as though Idolish7 “tainted” the song- you can certainly interpret it as, they sung it so damn well, people will remember them for it (shedding a positive light on what turned out to be a controversial song). Actually speaking of which, since Sousuke ordered the so-called Composer to make another song similar to Let’s SUMMER, he went straight to Takanashi Production in attempt to steal yet another piece. What an idiot… Fortunately Sogo and Tamaki caught him- but not before Sogo almost killing him for hitting Tamaki with a flashlight. And here I was worried about Tamaki when Sogo was the one the real threat!!!

As result, Sousuke not only knows the song has been stolen, but now owes a favour back to Takanashi Productions choosing not to file a police report of the song theft, not wanting to hurt TRIGGER and their fans. But rather than being grateful for Otoharu being so considerate and heeding his warning, Sousuke is even more bitter than ever, vowing to destroy every single one of them, Takanashi Productions, Idolish7 and even Tsumugi now has a target on her back, (which is surprising to me, considering she is the daughter of his unrequited love).

Out of this confrontation, it also confirmed my suspicions that Sousuke had a thing for Tsumugi’s mother, Musubi, who is no longer in this world. He resents Otoharu for it, believing he of all people could have made her happier. This certainly creates an awkward situation for Gaku to overhear. Poor guy…

But it is kind of funny how things are playing out though. Sousuke loved Musubi, and now his son likes her daughter! Only one isn’t like the other, and that is Gaku being an absolute precious sweetheart.

I certainly smell potential time bomb just waiting to blow in regards to TRIGGER and being affiliated with Yaotome Productions. As long as Sousuke continues doing dodgy business practices and neglect his idols, it is unlikely they will want to renew a contract with him in the future.

And lastly, it was so nice to see Tenn finally acknowledge Riku’s growth. Too bad Riku will have to wait a little longer to hear it from him…

We finally get to see him be proud of his brother!

Crap I just realized this show is almost over… Aw man, i really don’t want this to end!
EDIT: SHIT. EPISODE 16 and 17 WON’T BE RELEASED UNTIL MAY 19th! ; A ; THAT MEANS IT ENDS NEXT WEEK.

Sad news here….ep 16 and 17 will be delayed until May 19 and will be broadcasted back to back. I hope we will get some sort of announment for ss 2 at that time too.
Sogo’s face was so scary….lol but I really like seeing him being “confused” like this instead of just smiling. I feel bad for Trigger, but then again this event shows how idol is just a product to their agency
Seeing Tenn blushes because Gaku praised Riku?? That is so darn cute. Looking at his face when blushing, he certainly looks like Riku lol lol lol

OMG, THEY ARE GOING TO LEAVE US WITH A HUGE CLIFFHANGER NEXT WEEK AREN”T THEY?!
SHIT. I WASN’T PREPARED FOR THIS.
Maybe if we’re lucky Season 2 will be announced for the summer…? Or start in May.

(If I guess right then they really gonna end it with a cliffhanger but) The staff wont be this mean, right, RIGHT.
(What if ss 2 will never be made but instead we will get more UtaPrince in summer) I feel like I’m dead inside.

I heard that the live rankings and the BD sales are very good, so it’s likely to have S2 of i7. From what I’ve seen in the fanbase without playing the game stories, it’s going to be even more epic than S1

            I can confirm this lol

Sousuke’s the prideful type, the kind who’d rather swallow rusty nails whole than be indebted to anyone else. Especially when the other party got away with the girl he loved (I can’t say if he was a butt from the start, or if Musubi going to Otoharu broke him and started his fall into a-holery).
I’m not surprised at the delayed airing until May 19th – next week’s Spring season likely means the whole broadcast schedule in Japan’s fully booked, so no room for Idolish to continue airing into April (I’d wondered if the 17 episode structure would interfere with the general 13-26 episode nature of cours done there).

      Lol I just realize Idolish7 = I7 = 17 episodes
So yeah, it’s just a fun intention on number play, I guess, lol lol lol.
