This week in Go! Princess Precure, they kept it simple and sweet. There wasn’t much any sort of plot development, but we did get to learn more about our Princess of the Academy!

Minami is by nature an independent person. She doesn’t always ask for help, and feels a bit embarrassed when she fails to uphold her flawless image. Today we learned that Minami is afraid of ghosts after her childhood friend had pulled a prank on her during the Test of Courage when they were in little. Wanting to uphold her image of a strong leader, she tried to keep her fear under wraps when students started talking about the possibility of Ghosts (being one of the seven wonders) interrupting the party. She casually had asked two of her Student Council colleagues to accompany her to investigate the issue with the Party Room’s blackout. Much to her luck, it was Shut and his Zetsuborg causing the problems and creating ghosts- even though she probably knew they were fake, they still terrified her. Earlier in the episode, Haruka told Minami that she would like to help her out. She was given that opportunity when she stepped up to be Minami’s Knight in Shiny Armor today in order to help her pull through the fight against her biggest fear. It was charming since Haruka is so sweet, and Minami followed through with Haruka’s promise by asking her to have the first dance.

One of the things I found interesting however is that I am wondering whether or not Minami has a good idea of what her dream is. I found her answer to be a bit vague when Haruka asked whether or not her aspiration to be like her father and brother, which implies desiring to be part of the family business, was her dream. She isn’t bothered by the large workload, instead she embraces it and considers it to be more fun for her to do, but until I am given a clear answer, I will be looking out to see whether or not we will see Minami’s dream undergo some changes or development. It would be interesting if it turns out to be the case since both Kirara’s and Haruka’s dreams are already established.

The highlight of the episode for me however was the combat animation. HOLY SMOKES, Toei Animation just keeping raising the bar! This week’s fight, they went all out and I was thoroughly impressed. I am excited to see them continue experimenting this new style of how they frame their fights, and will have great anticipation for the major futures to come in the future.

Next week they will finally be digging into the plot. Heck, thank god they are doing so sooner than later because I had completely forgotten about the Princess Keys retrieval mission.

PS: Dyspear is scary. She doesn’t sound like she’s kidding when she tells Shut today is his last chance. Looks like the only chance of being spared/forgiven for his failure is to retrieve one of the Princess Keys.

…It’s only been three episodes since we first learned about it. You may suffer from a short attention span.

Hmm, didn’t have time to actually comment on the episode earlier.
      Ahem.
Minami giving her first dance to Haruka was squee-worthy, but somehow, to me, the most adorable thing in the episode was Kirara’s reaction to the Zetsuborg trapping her under its megaphone. I don’t know why, but seeing her be all indignant about it was just the cutest thing.

It felt like forever though. 😛
Totally agree, Kirara’s reaction was adorable. Dat pout! She was dead set on taking it down on her own but the Zetsuborg spoiled it for her!

yeah, cure twinkle to me is my favorite, what i love about GPPC is that the characters have more dept that previous seasons we were giving and basic explanation of our characters and they did amazing with kirara almost turning down being a precure and haurharu doing everything in her power and might to become a princess.
But is a lot we don’t know and minami so i really want to see more on her and what her true dream is…..
