Oh Mizuki… When she announced her decision to model for Akiha, I think it’s fair to say in that moment, we were all Izumi. His incredulous and dismayed reaction summed it up perfectly. But he didn’t chide her for it, instead he took it upon himself to agree to tag along for the gig, solely for the sake of watching her back. Izumi really does have the patience of a saint. However as I have said before, I feel bad for the guy because he’s supposed to be focusing on his training. Obviously it’s not his responsibility to have to do this, but he’s doing this because he knows can’t and will not be able to focus so as long as she’s recklessly diving into things that increases the risk of blowing her cover. Though funny enough, Mizuki wasn’t actually the prime target it seems, she was more so of the bait to lure Izumi out. Akiha knew he’d never agree until she were to do it, so that’s why he sought to get her on board.
Needless to say, Mizuki ought to count her lucky stars though, as out of sheer luck, despite doing this very public modelling gig (the second one which they ended up doing on location in Shibuya), they’ve managed to keep Mizuki’s secret under wraps. Hell, even though the concern only lasted two seconds, Mizuki did briefly notice that the outfit she had been given looked like it was meant for girls. She even thought back for a millisecond how the way Akiha had spoken to her last week that he might have figured it out. BUt as per freaking usual, her delulu head immediately denied the possibility. Honestly it’s crazy how actually stupid she is because one would think she would connect the dots and weight the probability considering Akiha is a photographer who is famous for pulling out his model’s true self. Alas, she’s an airhead, through and through, there’s no changing that! She just never learns! Only this time, she really did get lucky that she hasn’t been immediately exposed because they had “secured their privacy and personal information”, unlike the the social media pic of the boys that had been uploaded without their consent.
Overall this episode was relatively uneventful as it was simply wrapping up the Modelling Arc. The petty model gained absolutely nothing for slicing up Akiha’s film of the first photo-shoot. She had only dug herself into a deeper hole. A sure way to get herself blacklisted. Poor Nakatsu has no idea that even outsiders perceive he and Mizuki to be more like siblings than as a potential couple. He would totally cry if he knew. Unfortunately we didn’t see any shots with Izumi and Mizuki (which I won’t lie, feel robbed hahaha). Instead we got this intimate posing with Minami and Izumi upon Akiha’s instructions, and Izumi was NOT happy about it.
With all that done, the next arc will the Christmas ball! Osaka High School and St. Blossom Academy do a joint Christmas party every three years, where the two campuses will pair up to dance the waltz and all sorts of fancy stuff. It was funny to see Senri wishing he were a student at St. Blossom, talking about how he could probably pass off as a female student so he could dance with Minami. Izumi thought it was absolutely hysterical considering he knows Mizuki’s doing exactly that at their school! Again, Mizuki missed a pretty big hint that Izumi’s onto her.
And that’s all I really got to say about it. In hindsight, I think it would’ve been better to have just tripled post Ep 8, 9 and 10 altogether, but it is what it is. That being said, I may end up doing a single entry for the final three episodes if I feel it’d be just better to do it that way. We’ll see, and I’ll keep you posted as usual!
