Hello everyone! If you think you saw this post before, yes you did. Now that I’ve resolved the issue I’ve found right before previous scheduled migration in September, we’re officially set! So I’ve brought this back to inform you once again on everything you need to know!
On December 24th (Wednesday) through December 26 (Friday), the site will be under maintenance. During this period, we may potentially experience downtime anytime between 24 – 72 Hours. (Offline duration varies on how long the DNS Records takes to be updated). To keep up to date with us, please follow us on tumblr and bsky for updates on the progress!
Once that done, the new site’s homepage will be temporarily replaced with a Static Page notice about our maintenance. This is because the site will be briefly a blank canvas upon launch. Once everything is working properly, we’ll remove the static page and bring you back to the familiar home page.
As long as everything works as it should, we’ll be all set within a few days time. So please don’t panic if the blog seemingly disappears (this is what happened last time X_X|||) or be surprised by how bare-boned at first! We’re just moving, that’s all!
Now that you know what’s going on, here’s three very important things you should know and do, so please take a moment to read through this!
~*~
Number 1: Updating DNS Records
CLEAR YOUR CACHE/COOKIES!
During this period, due to updating the DNS records, we may experience downtime between 24 – 48 Hours (aka: 1 – 2 Days).
Last time, we’ve done this, we’ve encountered some complications and it ended up being three days offline and the page that would show up suggested the site was deleted. Please be assured that is NOT the case, and that this downtime is temporary! We’re just moving!
Bearing that in mind: It will be very important to clear your cache/cookies to ensure you’re seeing the most up to date version of the site when we’re done! To ensure you are seeing the correct version of the site, there will be a post to indicate such, along with a notice on the sidebar, and a couple of distinctions to help set the two apart without changing too much.
Now in case we do run into any complications, please consider bookmarking or following our Bsky & Tumblr pages. If the site (god forbid) appears offline for longer than 72 hours, these two places will be only way you’ll see any update from us on our progress.
Number 2: NO NEW POSTS + COMMENTS DISABLED PERIOD
On Monday December 22nd, the comment section will be disabled in advance maintenance period. This is to ensure the month of December has been properly backed-up, and nothing is lost in-between. Fortunately all of the shows we’ve been covering are done now, so that means there won’t be any new posts coming out until the Winter Season begins anyways. Having a whole week of an empty schedule gives me a lot of breathing room to fix things if things were to go haywire. I’ll be taking full advantage of that.
This will also be the very last day for any new posts until the migration is completed. So if Shadow is unable to get Twisted Wonderland or/and Gachiakuta final impressions out by the end of the day Monday, those posts will not be released until AFTER the migration is done. So the timing of release will depend on whether or not her schedule allows it.
Then: Starting on Wednesday December 24th: We will begin the DNS Update. The site may experience downtime between 24 Hours or as long as 72 Hours (provided everything goes smoothly). Naturally comments will remain closed until the migration process is completed.
Number 3: Rebuilding the Site from Scratch
After being potentially offline for up to 48 hours (worst case, 72HRS+), the job is not over. I will likely need an additional day or two dedicated to rebuilding the site from scratch. So don’t be too surprise if there’s years of posts missing. This is planned.
Obviously it’s not ideal that we have to do it this way. In normal circumstances you’d mirror the server, but due to the fact we’re making these changes to reduce costs, it means the new server will start off as a clean slate. This is why I may need one or two more additional days to properly finish things up. The plan is to have our most recent content restored first, so this way we can get back on schedule as soon as possible, so I’m hoping the site to be ready for viewing within a day the DNS stuff is dealt with.
So what will you expect to see instead? Once the DNS update is up and running properly, the Home Page featuring our Latest Posts will instead be replaced with a Static Page with a notice that looks like this:

We’re in the process of moving into a new home!
AngryAnimeBitches will be back once every is in order!
Thank you for your patience, we’ll be back soon!
Follow us on Bsky & Tumblr to know when we’re done!
While I do this, I’ll be posting updates the progress on the notice page, Bsky and Tumblr as I go in case I finish ahead of schedule or if I feel there’s till work to be done before I open it up again!
So to recap!
- On Monday, December 22: Last Day for New Posts + Comment Section will be closed
- If Twisted Wonderland or/and Gachiakuta final impressions are not out by the end of the day Monday, those posts will not be released until AFTER the migration is done.
- On Wednesday, December 24th we begin DNS Update: Best case scenario, the blog is still viewable. Worst case, the blog appears “offline”or “deleted” for a day or two due to DNS being updated (this is what happened last time). If, for whatever reason it doesn’t do that on time, trust we’ll get it fixed as quickly as possible so that we’re back!
- Following the DNS Update, Rebuilding Site from Scratch: Home Page will be replaced with a Static Page until I finish restoring 2025 Content. This part shouldn’t take long. The rest will be worked on behind the scenes over the course of the week.
- Estimated Relaunch Date: If everything goes smoothly, we may be back online as early as Thursday December 25th. If not, hopefully no later than Monday, December 29th. But as long as we’re up in running before the Winter 2025 season begins, we’ll be fine! If things do go haywire, please be patient, know I’ll be working around the clock to get things in order.
Once I finish the job, I’ll have a follow-up post to address all the changes/decisions that have been made!
Thank you for taking the time to read this! Hopefully this migration will be a smooth sailing this time! ; v ;
