Wow! Incredible! They’re really here!
Hello everyone! It’s nice to meet you! My name is Quietcupcake and I’m one of the newest writers for AAB. I’m new to blogging, but I’m excited to be here, so that should count for something… right?
I’m generally a pretty awkward and quiet person, but when it comes to anime I will talk for hours. But how did it all start? Well, while I was pretty into Pokémon as a kid, I would say my official journey into the anime pit started in Middle School back when Naruto was airing on Toonami. From there my world was changed forever and I haven’t looked back (plus it was middle school, so who actually wants to look back?) Naruto was certainly the anime that brought me into the community, but I have a very special place in my heart for Fruits Basket. I was introduced to it shortly after, and that was the anime I tried to get everyone into and still adore to this day. I’m so excited about the new Fruits Basket, but I’ve told my self that I would wait until it finished airing before I started watching.
As far as favorite genres I tend to gravitate towards Slice of Life, Romance, and Psychological anime, however I can always enjoy a good shounen. But man, if you give me a set of characters that I’m indifferent to or otherwise dislike and make me like and appreciate them? You’ve won my heart. I’m a sucker for those sorts of things. I love seeing character development and blossoming relationships, it’s what the kids would call * chef’s kiss * exquisite.
I hate picking favorites, but if I had to name a few I would say Zankyou no Terror, Ef: A tale of Melodies, and Run with the Wind are my top. Additionally, I will talk about Kagerou Project until I die. I have so much love for the series and the characters, so please come talk to me about it!
Outside of anime, I like to play video games, play music, and write, but if you need to find me, I’m probably on the floor and asleep. I still actively play Love Live! and Bandori, but thanks to the lack of storage on my phone I haven’t been able to play any of the other popular rhythm or anime games ;-; (In case you’re wondering, Nozomi and Hanayo are my best girls)
I think that’s all I have to say, but I look forward watching and talking about anime with you all!
