There was 2 stories in this episode: one where Akiho’s dad hurts his back and they have to cancel their date, then Ariyama comes and hangs out with Haru instead and then there was the cooking, where Akiho tries to make a lunch box for Haru.
The first plot was hilarious. The handcuffs were the funniest part. She would lock herself in handcuffs and put the key in a questionable spot like her back pocket.
And the trying on clothes part. She was like “ Help me hook this top button, Haru!”, then she would have her whole bra unhooked. I was dying.
Then the best part this plot was how they explained how the dad hurt his back. He probably hurt it normally, like while lifting up something or he slept wrong, but they made it sexual as usual.
Then the other part of this plot was cooking. Akiho can’t cook, but she keeps on trying with no success. At least in this episode, the food isn’t alive and looking like that mystical cats that tricks girls into becoming magical girls and dying. But the food makes people faint this time and it catches on fire.
The funniest part was when Haru was trying to tell Akiho the food was on fire and she is too distracted by Hoshikawa saying questionable things like “ the tip is twitching”( in reality, Haru is holding a knife in his hand and he is shaking) and “ knife is for peeling back the skin”( in reality, they are trying to peel a potato).
The second funniest part was when she was using a vibrator while she was cooking. What is that?? You could probably mix something with a vibrator. Just saying, don’t try this at home.
During this episode, I thought of past cooking mistakes. When I was younger I used to undercook things because I was impatient. Surprisingly, I have not had any food poisoning( like Rina in this episode). As I grew up, I got a little better at cooking(well, that is what I’d like to think).
Oddly, enough I don’t have any particular really bad cooking stories. There was time where my brothers made some Southern Style Ice Tea, where you boil water and let it simmer with tea bags in it and then throw in a ton of sugar. One of my stepbrothers decided it would be a great idea to put ginger and some other spices in the tea. It tasted nasty and nobody would drink it for weeks. After about a month, my dad got real salty, because the container was taking up too much space in the fridge and he told us to drink it. I took a sip of it and it was still gross. The stepbrother who put the spices in it tried to drink it, but he also said it was nasty. When my dad wasn’t looking, I ran behind the shed and dumped it in the compost pile and washed the container.
But anyways, all the characters come to an understanding at the end. Even though Akiho is a bad cook, Haru is still willing to eat her food because he loves her. That was heartwarming to me.
Full speed ahead to the last episode.
