After the first task King had Cyan do, I already knew what he was trying to make her realize.
She can’t write music alone all the time. If she needs help, she has her bandmates right next to her that can help her. Sometimes she can’t do things on her own. Grateful King could have easily told her all of this and gave her this huge inspirational and moving speech about all of that, but I guess he found it more impactful if she figured it out on her own. Trying to play four instruments at once was the most obvious hint.
This was a very obvious lesson on our part watching this. I was saying last week how much I wanted Cyan to tell the other girls how much she was struggling. Just running off without telling them where she was going was a bad idea and pretty childish if her to do. But…she is a kid. I do understand that Cyan is succumbing to a lot of pressure, since she has the power to be everyone’s savior again. But it’s always very important to get everyone’s help when she’s struggling so much, especially when this song is crucial when they go up against BUD VIRGIN LOGIC. Well, at least Cyan was able to learn that lesson in the end. Very nice that King called the girls over. 🙂
Tsurezure makes a small appearance when they go to search for the large Melodisian stone. We also meet with another in-game band, Gaugastrikes. Just like with Dolly Dolci and Shizuku Secret Mind, these guys are just going to make their own little cameo appearances. We’ve had a lot of cameos, with the sentai band, Alice Beans, and others I can’t name off my head. Of course if the show tried to focus on all of them, it would end up as a jumbled mess, so I think it’s fine that we’re just getting cameos. I sure do miss Ninjinriot, though. Where are they?!
Gaugastrikes is a cool band, though. We got a wolf, a a mouse, a bat, and a freakin’ mountain. That’s right, a literal mountain. This series is crazy. Anyway, Tsurezure makes a short appearance again but they stole the show by how badass and awesome they are. Especially Darudayu.
After almost getting killed, the Crimson boys make it to their training camp after Rom saw how distracted the guys looked in their rehearsal. They manage to find the man/egg who owns the camp place where they were supposed to be, and while sitting around a campfire the boys hand Rom the Amatelast CD of their song Cadenza. After last week’s episode I found the lyrics and found the song to be pretty sad. It’s even more sad knowing that Cadenza was Amatelast’s last song before they broke up. Rom explains that Shuzo had something else in mind, and the band’s aim changed from before. So because of all their differences they split up and obviously took different paths. Rom reassures the guys that it’s all in the past, but we know that Rom is still affected by it. Crow decides something and we learn that they made a new song. I don’t know what kind of song but it sounds like we’re going to be hearing it next week in their revenge concert.
Speaking of which, we’ll see ARCAREAFACT again. From the preview we saw their eyes glowing dark when Dagger brainwashes someone, so it’s probably going to end up being a nasty fight, and hopefully more plot stuff will happen? I’m just scared for Titan! We saw the other three guys with their glowing eyes, but it conveniently left out Titan. I really hope he doesn’t get brainwashed too. Maybe because he’s so sweet and pure, his purity will fight back Dagger’s evil power? D:
Hello … I always read your opinions on anime, did you actually find the lyrics Amatelast – Cadenza? I’m looking for the lyrics of this song, I really want to understand Shuzo … in tumbrl there’s only half of it.
I only saw half the lyrics on Tumblr too. I don’t know if anyone has translated the rest of it yet, the Show By Rock fandom is relatively small. The single came out last week so maybe someone is still working on translating it as accurately as possible?
I do wish that Crunchyroll would include lyrics for the songs. I feel that they are crucial to understanding the mood of the episode, as the lyrics of the tie-in songs are timed to represent the inner feelings of the characters on scene, which is essential in a music anime.
Agreed. Funimation did when they were handling the subs but I wish Crunchyroll would as well. The episodes would be much more emotional if we knew what the songs were saying. :/
