I want to hug Titan. ;_; Him and his cute baby brothers.
So how do the funds in a rock band work exactly? Does none of the money go to the actual band members? Does it all go into one account? Does it all go to the record label, and the band members won’t be paid until much later? What…what is it! How in the world can Titan and his two brothers live in a sewer, a sewer, with an old dirty couch, a bed that looks like cardboard, when his band is the definition of rich? They literally toss out money out of a plane! So where is this money going? Why doesn’t Titan have the money to buy a comfortable home for him and his siblings? This boggles my mind, and it hurts my heart. Is it because they’re a new band? ARCAREAFACT is under the same label as Trichronika and they’re really successful, so maybe these boys just need more time.
Titan always seemed like the less douchey one in the band, too. ARCAREAFACT is fighting to be number one in Midi City, and it’s working in their favor as they are the number one band. They already have popularity and a huge fanbase. They’re a very flashy group, as they flaunt their wealth by dropping money out of a plane once in the middle of the city (which they then jumped out of themselves) just for show, and the second time at the Battle of the Bands. They have sparkly and pretty merchandise, and they have a very elegant and upper-class vibe. They single out SHINGANCRIMSONZ and they officially start their rivalry against them. But they use underhanded ways to make themselves win the Battle of the Bands, probably something the assistant did, who I’m positively sure is the Queen of Darkness in disguise. But even when the Crimson boys have a feeling that is what happened, Rom uses his charismatic and influential words to calm them down, but we could see that Rom really was upset by it all.
While this was happening, we saw Ailane, the lead singer of BUDVIRGINLOGIC, with Dagger. Typical evil bwuahahaha stuff. Dagger declares his “war” against Plasmagica specifically in the end, probably mostly at Cyan though. Just like we knew, Dagger plans to make his move at the Puru Land amusement park grand opening. Ailane seems to fully trust Dagger, but her other bandmates seem a little wary, but they will follow Ailane.
Plasmagica on the other hand are preparing their best for what’s to come. Cyan comes up that they should play a song that is really different from what they usually sing, and Cyan volunteers to write the new song. Maybe this new approach will be enough to take down Dagger and the Queen of Darkness. But considering how much trouble Cyan was having writing the song for her band’s school festival, I’m sure she’s going to have problems with this too. Especially if it’s a song different from what they usually do, but she seems pretty excited by it. I’m also pretty excited too! Plasmagica is a typical cutesy band that plays fun and upbeat songs, so I would love to hear something completely different from them. Some cool, something fancy, something loud, I don’t know! With Dagger calling them out in the end, they’re going to need to come up with something fast and practice it to perfection.
I enjoyed ARCAREAFACT’s song, Titan’s piano playing was lovely. It absolutely broke my heart when his youngest brother was crying about not having toys. No, you’re not being selfish! Of course you want a new toy, there’s nothing wrong with that. T_T Ahh, and Titan playing on a toy piano for his brothers. Ahhh, damn it! They deserve better. No one should ever live in a sewer.
The fact that Titan is keeping his home life a secret from his bandmates means that he probably doesn’t trust them. I’m sure he’s afraid that if they find out about it, it might ruin their image, and they’ll kick him out. The rest of the guys are very snooty and full of themselves, but Titan is definitely different. I hope he and his brothers have a brighter future.
It is sad how Titan cannot confide in his band mates, despite them actually admiring him as being a hard worker. The drummer Argon even offered him to stay at an island for relaxing two episodes ago, which Titan most likely couldn’t accept as it would mean abandoning his little brothers behind.
In parallel, Ailane’s band mates warn her that they do not trust Dagger Morse and would rather that she severs her ties with him. But as it is implied that she’s already under his thrall, Ailane will not listen to them. It seems that they do not know that Dagger can somehow control those whose feelings are tarnished, so it is doubtful that they will be able to save her from his control.
At least there’s still hope for Titan, but he must come clear with his secret.
The information I’m about to post was written in AnimateTimes, a japanese news website owned by the popular japanese store. Some times they do interviews with anime characters as if they were real people. This one was published when Arcareafact was announced as a new band and were going to be included in the game:
Arcareafact was a group that debuted shortly after it was created and they met for the first time the same day they had their first live. All the members went to Judas Male Celebrity Academy, a school owned by the agency where only the super rich and elite can afford to enter. They all became the 777th graduates of the academy (probably you know it, but in Japan 777 is considered the lucky number). Titan and Orion were always competing for the top post of the school.

The scene with Titan and younger brothers happened in the game too, but with Titan giving them chocolate truffles instead of macarons. I wish they do more scenes inspired by the game episodes, they are very interesting and it’s not hard to love the band members.
You have to admire Rom, having a full time job and being the one paying everything for Shingan. He is a good catch.
Bonus: A CM for the Show by Rock!! x JOYSOUND karaoke collaboration with Rom and Riku singing covers of the girl bands
