ANNOUNCEMENT: MY STATUS, PLEASE READ.
The only thing I cared about was watching Rohan’s house burn. 🙂
I felt this episode to be rushed. Other than Mikitaka himself, I actually wasn’t too crazy about these certain chapters. It was entertaining to see Rohan stab his own pinkie with a pen, Mikitaka throwing up, and then the actual house burning down from a stupid magnifying glass. And the fact that Rohan didn’t give a crap because he wanted to find out how Josuke was cheating, even when he could have lost his entire home. Rohan’s a mess.
Maybe the reason why I thought it was rushed was because they left out a couple of funny lines like when Rohan was about to test the hardness of the dice and bite on them, then Josuke blurted out that he took a shit earlier and forgot to wash his hands. And then the sneezing and Mikitaka sweating. Basically everything else was the same though. They’ve done this before where they’ve taken out some funny lines, most likely to save time and to get right into the action, but that just sacrifices some fun for us.
We get a little sneak peak into Kira’s house and Hayato himself. He’s a weird kid to have put a camera into his room while nonchalantly saying things like “Oh, this is the first time in awhile mom got naked in front of dad”, while watching the recording on the computer in his room. But, Hayato can see that things have suddenly gotten strange in his home. He notices that his mother is always in a good mood, smiling and humming, while also dressing herself up and putting on nicer clothes. Pointing out that he’s lived in a house where his parents never loved each other, of course this sudden change in events is weird. He also checks what his “father” is doing and overhears what he says about Josuke and Jotaro. Hmmmmm…
We continue with the awkward Rohan/Josuke shit where Rohan notices a room in a tunnel with a man and woman, thinking the man is Kira. Rohan tells Josuke about it but he doesn’t believe him, so Rohan goes in the tunnel by himself. Soon enough he encounters the room and then gets chased by a very fast Stand on his motorcycle and meets with Highway Star, but soon enough, Josuke comes to his rescue, because he always does the opposite of what people tell him. What a rebel.
Josuke’s half with Highway Star is more interesting to me because it ends up being a high speed chase. This is funny, but seeing the footsteps following the characters actually reminded me of a later Jojo character…who I hate, but the footsteps reminds me of them because…it’s fucking weird. Anyway, it’s time for Josuke to be cool on Rohan’s motorcycle and figure out how to defeat this Stand, by finding the Stand user. Gotta go fast.
ANNOUNCEMENT
This isn’t Jojo-related, I’m addressing everyone that read my reviews. School work has been getting too crazy for me and it’s been really stressing me out. I have to focus more on school and not so much here, so I’m pretty much dropping all the shows that I had planned to blog. I’m still gonna be here though, but the only shows that I’m going to continue blogging are Jojo, Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku, and Show By Rock!!, though expect some delays with some of them. I didn’t want to have to do this, but this’ll be my last year of university, so sorry if you were looking forward to the shows I signed myself up for.
Thank you for understanding!
Odd you didn’t mentioned the Rohan meme “However, I Refuse”. Many manga reader and the meme follower have been waiting for the anime adaptation of that line.
Ahhh you’re right! >< But honestly I was mostly anticipating his house burning down lol. Like...that was in my top 5 of things I was excited to see animated.
