Shit…Shigechi’s death was even more sad in the anime. Was it the music, the voice acting? Probably both, but also probably because he was a kid. He was a middle schooler, so he was between 12-14 years old, and that’s very young. He’s practically a baby, and he sort of acts like one. We saw on his desk in school a little doodle of his mother and father, as well as a little Harvest next to them. Shigechi was a naive, bratty but innocent kid. He just needed some growing to do. He also really grew on me in his last moments. Even when he was faced with a serial killer he stood his ground. Even after exploding from the inside out, I mean holy shit, he somehow managed to survive, and he crawled into the school to find Josuke and Okuyasu. He was the only one who knew Kira’s name and what he looked like, but unfortunately he met his deadly fate. Just like Kakyoin (*holds back tears*), Shigechi used up his last bit of strength to send Josuke his dying message, which was one of Kira’s buttons from his coat. And because of that little action of his, we were able to reach what happened in the later part of the episode.
We didn’t know Shigechi for long, but he was a good kid. I felt bad for him when he died in the manga, but with the anime’s music and voice acting, it was just worse. Also, when his soul blew up when he passed on was painful to watch, and seeing Reimi cry sucks too. Rest on, Shigechi.
Later on, the Justice League of Stand Users, or as I like to call them, the Stand Squad, all gather up along with Reimi and speak about Shigechi’s death, and Reimi confirms it as she saw his soul with her own eyes. This entire group consists of all the Stand users that we’ve seen so far, who all are on the same side. Which is Josuke, Okuyasu (with his father), Koichi, Joseph (with Shizuka), Jotaro, Yukako, Rohan, Hazamada, Tonio, and even Aya. They’re all on the same team so they’re all looking out for each other and taking action against this serial killer. Now that they know that Reimi’s killer is a Stand user, the Joestars are going to stay and help. Also, Jotaro takes the button and is going to use it to trace back to who bought it, which is tough, but as we see later, possible. As expected, Oku and Josuke are the ones that are most affected by all this, as they seemed to have gotten close to Shigechi.
In a tense moment, Kira and Josuke pass each other on the street. Kira comes across a woman and makes her his next victim. Killer Queen (named after the band, Queen), his Stand, is a Stand that uses explosives. Whatever it touches, it turns it into a bomb. Killer Queen can also make things explode and disappear without a trace, as we saw with Shigechi, so it’s easy to figure out why there have been so many “disappearances” in Morioh.
So in the end
HHHHHHHHH-
Well, I’ll finally shut up about waiting for the black turtleneck. :’) Holy shit…
But seriously. A few days pass since the incident and Koichi runs into Jotaro. After a bit of awkward silence, the two head inside a shoe/tailor shop. Jotaro’s taken the button to many shops with the button but has gotten nothing, but never went into this particular shop. And bingo. In the end, we meet with Kira’s arm trying to yank his coat from the rack while he kills the owner of the shop with a small looking tank that looks like a toy, with Jotaro and Koichi avoiding a blast.
Will they confront Kira, or will he be able to get away?! Jojo always know when to end at a thrilling cliffhanger. These next couple episodes should be great because of the fights we’ll get. Also I don’t want to shit on David Pro, but
they made Killer Queen gray. :/ It’s supposed to be pink. Please…
