THE POWER OF ROCK AND ROOOOOOLL!!!!
I’m pretty sure I used that THE POWER OF ROCK AND ROOOOOOOOOLL line on another show. I think it was Show By Rock!! lol.
Akira is so dramatic. With his flashy purple hair and him constantly playing the guitar.
What I like about Jojo battles is that each person always reveals something that gives them the upper hand to their opponent, but then the other person reveals something, then the other person does, and so on. Like with these two:
“I’m gonna send Chili Pepper through the vents to attack you!”
“Well I’m gonna make Crazy Diamond punch the ground and put tar over the vent openings!”
“Well I’m gonna use up all the electricity in this area of town!”
“Well I’m gonna trap your Stand in a tire!”
“Too bad because it’s not a meter thick!”
“Then I’ll just toss it in the ocean with the air from the tire!”
“Fuck!”
It’s ridiculous and hilarious but it’s just so fun to watch. They can also be pretty creative which is another reason why I like the fights so much. And that was basically the fight. Jotaro and Okuyasu head off to Joseph’s boat in a motor boat. He makes Josuke and Koichi stay behind because he knows Chili Pepper’s user is there watching them and he wants them to find him. Also, he knows that his user will do anything to figure out a way to reach the boat, and he thinks he’ll use a remote controlled airplane that he could get from a shop. Random? Not quite. Because after the two leave, Akira reveals himself and says Jotaro is so damn smart because he really was about to use a plane to reach the plane. He has it with him and it can reach the boat before the motor boat does, but he needs to get rid of Josuke and Koichi in two minutes, which he’s confident he can do. And so the fight begins and I basically summarized it, with Koichi helping a bit by telling Josuke where Red Hot Chili Pepper is going to appear. In the end, they manage to defeat him with some smart and quick thinking.
Jotaro and Okuyasu arrive at the boat and they hear from Echoes that they defeated Akira. And then we see Joseph. He doesn’t look too different appearance-wise from how he did in Part 3, but when it comes to his body, he’s all hunched over and he’s lost all of that juicy muscle. He needs his cane or else he can’t walk. He moves very slowly. He’s senile, as we see when he asks for his cane even when it’s in front of him. He’s hard of hearing and misunderstands what Okuyasu tells him. All in all…he’s old! He’s a grandpa and very old, and he honestly reminds me of my own abuelo. And the first time I saw him like that in the manga, man…it was odd. I was still mad at Joseph for the whole cheating thing, but I was touched when he asked about Josuke. But I was mostly affected by how helpless he is now. In Part 2 he was young and crazy and stupid, in Part 3 he was much older but because of Hamon he still maintained a great physique and was very healthy for his age (around 70 right?) and he still thought quickly. And now to see him like any other old man, senile and slow, it’s crazy! We’ve seen him grow and it just goes to show that not everyone can stay cool and badass because you’re going to get old. No foxy grandpa forever.
So after Akira somehow snuck into the boat and disguised himself as a Speedwagon Foundation member, Koichi sends the news that the enemy snuck away onto the boat. Akira is in the room with Oku and Jospeh and the other man comes in and then they both start pointing the finger at each other and since Oku hasn’t seen Akira he doesn’t know who’s the enemy. He sees Chili Pepper and he’s freaking out but he punches Akira. How did he know? Well, he didn’t. He was going to punch both of them but thankfully the innocent guy was safe, Oku just made a really good guess.
I really don’t know what Josuke was feeling but I understand that he really didn’t want to meet Joseph. Just meeting with a guy he doesn’t even know who’s his father, of course it’s going to be awkward. Josuke is such a sweet boy, he’s the kind of guy that doesn’t like unnecessary situations. And I love that he always thinks of his mother, you can tell he’s really close to her. He had no problem saving his life, but when it came to meeting him he wasn’t looking forward to it. It would be weird, but Josuke is still a sweet and he helped Jospeh walk when he almost fell over when his cane broke. He held his hand and led him down, and it was so sweet! Oku didn’t understand it, but Koichi could see how special a moment that was. Gotta take baby steps! Yes, baby steps. Next episode will be adorable.
So now they have to get the bow and arrow and everything will be fine. OR WILL IT?
What’s up with this? This is the second time we’ve seen this dismembered hand and someone picking it up, with the scary music. I don’t think the threat in Morioh is over yet. I know who this is but I won’t say. (ΦωΦ)Greato!
All men must die. It’s sad seeing the Best JoJo Joseph decline from his Battle Tendency days to his current state in Diamond is Unbreakable. But we’ll get more Jojo.
