This week they pick up Tanzanite! (Another one of my favourites!) The Cosmic Linklestone!
Oh man poor Riko, she was all fired up to serve as the Magic World’s Representative in the non-magical world, but she went about it too seriously. She wasn’t able to be herself due to being overly polite and attempting to be a top student. Unfortunately by doing so it made her appear unapproachable to some students. But by the end of the episode, with Mirai’s help, Riko was able to be herself again. However in order to do that, she needed to change her perspective. She kind of went into this with the idea she wasn’t allowed to have fun, which is wrong because she absolutely deserves to! She learns this when Mirai shares her story of how when she was little, she was lost in the mountains and was terrified, but after seeing the beautiful stars it made her feel better and changed the way how she would usually react to certain situations.
While this episode was simple and straightforward, it was still cute and enjoyable. It was fun to see Haa become a social butterfly, looking to interact as often as she can and has the desire to participate during class. In fact, Haa’s evolution is something I am looking forward to the most. Every-time she grows, she becomes more and more interesting, and I just know she is most likely to be directly connected to the Emerald Linklestone. Another part I enjoyed was the fact Riko and Mofurun had their own time together. It gave us the opportunity to see the two interact, just as we were able to see Mirai and Haa’s interactions.
And finally, I am curious about is whether or not that same girl (who caught them flying on the first day of school) is going to become a running gag, or she will actually become one of the only or few friends who will know about magic. So far (though it has only been technically the third time) it has been quite entertaining to watch. This week she was looking out the window and was like, “WAIT A MINUTE, THAT’S NOT A SHOOTING STAR!” Hahahaha, man this is going to become a fun pattern. I wonder how long it will last though because remember, Mirai and Riko are breaking all the rules right now!
I really loved this episode, and I’m hoping we’ll get more of this girl who keeps seeing witch related things.xD
Why oh why, am I not surprised that this is yet another mediocre filler episode…? Nice throwback to Mirai’s childhood about the starry stars though (“Hoshizora” hmm, Miyuki is smiling elsewhere, maybe Kirara too for the “kirakira” stars reference…) but it bored me to death until the preview where LIZ APPEARS WITH CASUAL CLOTHES?! (OMG my heart’s throbbing (dokidoki)~~ <3) Looks like she'll have yet another conversation with Riko regarding the wand AND doing BBQ stuff as well!
