That’s it. I don’t care anymore. Fuck this show. I’m done. Seriously. I’m finished. This is the last week i’m reviewing this series. I can’t take it anymore. I am so so so so sick of this bullshit. I put up with this nonsense for 68 episodes. I can’t deal with it anymore. Seriously. Fuck it. Last review. Let’s do this one more time. Because that’s all this show is getting.

So the episode starts out with the new round starting. You know, that round we’ve been waiting for for like…. 20 episodes. So they all start off running around. Wet Blanket has learned a lot and we’re finally going to see him kick some ass. Considering he’s lost basically every single battle ever, it has become the turning point and we’re going to see him rock this.

Meanwhile that ex bad guy who’s hanging out in Takahoma’s branch is talking to Jin. He basically tells him that there’s no way that they can win and Jin takes him up on that bet saying that if his team loses, he’ll do any favor for him that he wants. If they win, the reverse. He accepts this bet.

yeah. he doesn't smile...that's kind of his thing.
yeah. he doesn’t smile…that’s kind of his thing.

Other than that, for about 12 minutes this episode is about a bunch of people jumping around in the snow trying to faux murder each other. Things don’t really start to change until one of the more powerful guys starts to fight wet blanket. He runs into the building and begins to fight him one on one.

“Oh great!” you think to yourself, Wet Blanket will get a point here! Welp, NOPE! Because this guy is ALSO too good for Wet blanket. and then more people jump into the fray. So it eventually becomes 2 on 2 as another team joins the fight and they ignore Wet Blanket.

okay, NOW you think is the time while they’re distracted, Wet Blanket can score some points while they’re not paying attention.

NOPE!

Because apparently they were expecting that and Wet Blanket gets sniped and has to bail out.

….

…..

ARE YOU MOTHER FUCKING KIDDING ME?!??!

I had to FUCKING MAKE IT THROUGH AN ENTIRE GODDAMN STUPID MOTHER FUCKING GODDAMN FILLER ARC FULL OF GARY STUS AND UTTER BULLSHIT JUST TO COME BACK TO THE MAIN CHARACTER LOSING AGAIN IN THE FIRST EPISODE OF THIS BATTLE?!?!

Fuck it. Fuck this show. I….I can’t.

It’s one thing to make your main character start out like shit. That’s fine. I like that. It makes your character grow and makes them interesting. I understand that. But this is motherfucking episode 68. And he hasn’t done SHIT. And now, after the 20 episodes I fucking WASTED waiting for him to DO SOMETHING he gets taken out like a bitch.

Look. I can’t sit here week after week and wait until episode 300 for Wet Blanket to stop being a useless doof. I can’t. The amount of flashbacks and cutbacks, and random talking between characters I don’t give a FUCK about is BEYOND stupifying

SERIOUSLY WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE?!?
SERIOUSLY WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE?!?

It’s a very simple concept. You have the four 4 main characters. Then you have the 3 people they train with, the kid, and their adult commanding officer. That is 9 people. That is all this series should be focusing on. These 9 people. I don’t give a flying motherfuck about ANY of these other people. I don’t care about ANY of these other groups. They feel the need to give EVERY SINGLE ONE a backstory instead of telling the story that we WANT to hear.

To show how stupid this series is, remember ages ago when I said that Konami was the 3rd most popular character in the show? Yeah? Well she hasn’t had a SINGLE episode devoted to her. in 68 episodes. Fuck, she hasn’t been a MAIN CHARACTER in any of these episodes. But you know who fucking HAS? The fucking kid with the giant rat.

This series takes SO LONG to do ANYTHING. It is a shonen show yes, but at least other shonen shows are INTERESTING. You could take these round fights, cut out all the filler bullshit, and you could cut down these 5 episode battles into 2 episodes. But they spend so much time with the commentary and flashing back to the groups talking before the match and telling me shit like “I have to quit the team after this match because i’m moving” or “we planned to make it rain in this round!” that I EITHER DON’T CARE ABOUT OR CAN SEE FOR MYSELF.

This Wet Blanket losing is just the straw that broke my back. I thought to myself, “I’ve been through all this bullshit, all this shonen garbage, but at the very very least, I get to see Wet Blanket beat some people and get some points.” I gave it all the benefits of the doubt in the world. I defended it. I tried so hard to like it. I have stuck with this series since I started on this site, I lost my World Trigger review partner, but I kept trudging along, thinking somehow this show would get better. But all it did was spit in my face.

This right here? This is any care I had left for this show
This right here? This is any care I had left for this show

It isn’t even trying. This author needs to find themself. They need to reevaluate their life choices.

Will I ever watch this show again? Maybe one day, months from now if I find out they got their shit together, have a few Konami episodes, and stop shitting on Wet Blanket? Maybe. But that won’t be for a long time, and now, I can’t review this shit anymore or stand to look at it.

Like I said. I’m done. Take your flashbacks, your filler arcs, your random ass dozens of characters you keep introducing that no one gives a shit about, your refusal to give the most popular characters their own episodes, and you incessant love of fucking with Wet Blanket and shove them all up your ass. I’m fucking done. Go fuck yourselves.

Yeah… I’m glad I’m not watching the anime with you. No offense.
If and when the manga actually lets him do something, I’ll let you know though. You’ve made a good choice, Hideki.

Wondered so long when you were gonna drop this. Hahaha, no offense but by the second episode even i could see this series was going to be disappointing.

Actually impressed you were able to last this long. If I could give you a medal for this, I would. But then, good choice on dropping, Hideki.
