And we thought last week was brutal? This week’s brutality was even worse, it was savage. Ein is a fucking monster. He alone killed off another portion of my favourite characters were all killed off in just one episode. RIP Shiro, Azee and Lafter, you were all great characters and I will miss you all dearly… *GROSS SOBBING*

Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans Ep 24 Img 0027Ein is now the true form of the Alaya-Vijnana, which is downright terrifying because it now makes him stronger than Mika. I don’t know how Kudelia finds it in her to boldly put herself in front of Ein, this creepy machine. We saw last week how horrifically humans are killed by those units, and I don’t know how in the world both Orga and Atra thought they were going to save her by jumping at her in attempt to get her out of the way. But goodness, I can’t tell you how relieved I was to see the three of them safe and sound, thanks to Mika just arriving at the nick of time, when Fareed decides to swing by and give him a hand.
Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans Ep 24 Img 0032And speaking of the bloody devil- Fareed is so fucking confusing. I still can’t figure out which side, if any side he is standing in all of this! (By that I am referring to his own secret third party or Tekkadan’s.) He first leaks the information, essentially betraying Tekkadan and now he shows up onto the field to deal with Galeio to permit Mika to run to protect his friends. At this point, is it one of his goals to simply test Mika? To see if he can overcome the limit, which is now Alaya-Vijnana’s true potential? I just, I don’t know where Fareed stands in all of this. And on top of that, now he decides to take off his mask in front of his friend, and fight him- which automatically puts Gaileo in a major disadvantage because of his weary psychological state. And it doesn’t look like Fareed is going to let him survive, unless by some miracle, Gaileo switches alliance- which is unlikely to happen, especially in these circumstances.

Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans Ep 24 Img 0004This episode was for most part about mass causalities, because many lives were lost as they sacrificed themselves for their comrades’ future. After fighting Gjallarhorn, who were blocking them from entering Edmonton, Tekkdan had finally reached their limit of their resources. Orga knew the next operation was going to be the final one, and it was hurting his heart. He was well aware their final operation was going to result mass causalities, and potentially, his own. When he spoke to Mika about this, Mika told him to put his bet on Tekkadan.

The easy way out would be to retreat, but even so there would be no guarantee of surviving since Gjallarhorn would do what they can to eradicate them. So Tekkadan chooses the difficult and high risk path, just as they always have since the beginning. Risking their lives to survive is nothing new to them. The jobs they worked involved putting their lives on the line everyday for the sake of survival. The only difference this time, is perhaps for their own comfort, a selfless death. They are willing to die trying to create a path to the future for their surviving friends. So even when Orga tells them the condition of their final operation, and gave them an opportunity to back-out by explaining how they will be, betting their lives on it, the kids rose up in support to serve as the decoy, while Orga and the others try to safely cross the riverbed and get Makanai to Parliament and Merribit withdraws from the area with the wounded. And it turned out, the lives which were lost were not in complete vain, it bought them enough time for more back-up to appear, including Eugune and the crew. Regarding how they got to Earth- I am guessing Fareed/Montag had something to do with it, I can’t think of any other way how they would have appeared in such fashion.
With the kids serving as decoy, Orga leading the operation and doing everything in his power to get Makanai, Atra is the one to take the wheel and serve as the back-up driver to escort Kudelia and Makanai to their destination.

Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans Ep 24 Img 0013 And let me talk about Atra for a moment. Like Kudelia, Atra too has undergone some major development. She first joined Tekkadan as their cook, but soon enough she became part of the team. She courageously acted as Kudelia when she and Biscuit were captured, she is helping with the medic team, and now she is putting herself onto the front-lines alongside Kudelia. Both girls has gone through a lot to get where they are now, and I am really proud of both of them. But most importantly, I am glad both Atra and Kudelia did not turn out to be passive characters and are adapting to be more involved in the operations.

Next week is the final episode, it’s a make or break. It looks like Makanai will eventually arrive to his destination, but the question now is, will he arrive on time, and what will happen and where would Tekkadan’s remaining survivors go, once they complete their mission?

Supremely cautiously optimistic about Azee, Lafter and Shino surviving. I think it’s totally possible… except for one problem. Blood loss. That said, Akihiro is literally nowhere to be found given our current information.
Ein was going for brutality rather than efficiency, along with just being more fascinated at how much more easily he could fight. Azee got it the worst it seems. Her spin is probably crushed at least somewhere and if she lives she probably can’t walk. Lafter, it seemed like she’ll need new legs and Shino got off much better since Ain went for the head rather than the cockpit.

It makes me nauseated just thinking about it. TT___TT

    I… don’t know. I just don’t know.
Everything’s been coming to a head so fast in the past 5 episodes (and really, I should be used to it by now)- and it’s hard to believe that it’ll all be over next week. Really, this has been one hell of a ride.
But first, the Graze Ein- now that is a terrifying piece of work. That surgery for the AV system seems to have driven Ein fully insane, doing the exact opposite of what Crank (and Gaelio) wanted. And knowing the sadistic turn this series has taken, he’ll probably remember Crank’s wisdom /JUST/ before he dies.
Thankfully it looks like Shino (Ryuusei-Go) might be alive, judging by how his eyes opened at the sound of the mechanic’s voice, but I’m pretty sure the two from Naze’s crew are dead. Orga’s gonna have a hell of a time explaining /THAT/ to his blood brother.
It definitely seems like Gaelio’s fate is sealed… these last few episodes have been a bunch of Gaelio-suffering-porn, and now he’s dying at his best friend’s hand! Let it be known that Fareed is a cold-blooded bastard.
At least Atra and Kudelia have grown up- we got the loli driving the van while Kudelia takes on the titan, leaving Makanai- actually, that’s a good point. Is he still upside-down in the van? That’s kind of hilarious.
Anyways, there’s not too much else to say. Looking forward to the grand finale- not sure exactly how they’re going to wrap all this stuff up in one episode though.

I found Ein was already well on his way to do the opposite of what Crank and Gaelio wanted. He has always been striving for revenge, but now, now he is powerful, almost invincible. To me it’s the power that is drawing out this madness and insanity.
Supposedly it has been listed as “Season 1” so there is a great chance there will be a second season to follow up and continue the story in the future.

I…think Fareed’s trying to reform Gjallarhorn as he said, but he’s using Tekkadan to accomplish his goal (if Makanai is reelected, his father’s position and Gjallarhorn itself would be a lot weaker), and he’s getting rid of the symbols of the old Gjallarhorn (his 7Star friends) that would also give him a ridiculously big position in the organization. He’s marrying a Bauduin, remember? If Gaelio’s gone, he’ll be the heir of that family, and since Carta’s father is deathly ill and the Fareeds are his family’s protectorate, Carta’s death would mean he’s also having power over them. With that much power over a weakened organization, he’s going to have almost free reign to do whatever he want, even destroying the organization to create it anew.
Also, remember how it said (by both the politician and the Gjally officer) that Gjally’s not supposed to interfere with inside affairs, so this entire mess would benefit him and weaken his father even more. And then come Ein. Charcolate would know he’s going to be this nuts (or maybe even set him up to be this nuts), so it’s the perfect way to ruin Gjallarhorn’s cred even further. Gaelio and Ein thought that Ein’s the symbol of the old, chivalrous and selfless Gjallarhorn, but Fareed sets him up to be the monstrous symbol of the corrupted, greedy era of now. A desperate measure born out of the selfish desire to stay in power. The fact Ein chased Kudelia into the city and wrecked the electricity made this even more convenient.
Of course this is just assumption, but his game’s definitely really running deep.
