Now that it has been a whole week since my beloved waifu episode has occurred it is time to focus back in on what everyone is doing: namely, Kyoma and Mira going to Easter Island alongside a bunch of strangers. I still feel like they could have spaced the episodes better: As the group approached Easter Island in the previous episode the ship essentially collided with spheres of energy that have landed Salva and Cassidy’s friend in a state of unconsciousness. I guess in truth there was still a lot of information and many flashbacks to decipher this episode, but perhaps the fact that the flashback didn’t encompass so much time in the episode made it a little easier to swallow than last weeks episode.
The answer to my questions about Lwai and Salva are most essentially answered: I don’t know why Lwai is so powerful when it appeared he was just a normal human child, and he is most definitely not a pawn of Salva’s. If anything Salva seems to genuinely appreciate the Lwai’s father took him in and he wants to create for him a world that is efficiently run and perhaps wants to take on the burden of the hard things to do that he knows are impossible for a ruler. I now admittedly like Lwai and Salva way more as characters, but I’m surprised to see just how little of a villain Salva might be turning out to be. That’s Dimension W for you!
A lot of this episode turns into fighting, with a side of extra special betrayal from newer characters, and serves to break in who we’re supposed to be rooting for in this Survival Fight and who we’re supposed to gather are absolute garbage pail kids. While fight scenes are in general hard to elaborate on or give deep insight, it was enjoyable to watch and helped ease the transition a little better than before. Flashback to exposition is sometimes harder to swallow than flashback, well done fight scenes, well done exposition. I can’t help but to say that Cassidy is very endearing in her gruff and tuff tsundere attitude, and most of the intended ‘good guy’ characters are funny. (I think I’m in love was predictable but still pretty funny all the same)
The worst part about this episode is that it is a lead in episode, but there is nothing wrong with that. If anything it just leaves me in a position to mostly speculate rather than tell you what I genuinely think. I’m not sure what will happen now that they’re about to reach ground Zero of Easter Island. I think that some people are definitely evil and some terrible things are probably about to happen, but it’s up in the air. Look, I’m going to front with you, the beautiful animation kept me going and seeing my waifu makes me give this episode a 14/10 solid choice bedroom sheets.
Yeah, I have a Miyabi problem. And Loser is here! I am so terrified!!!
