Um…WHAT?
What what?! Where did this come from? First she’s saying she loves the kiddies and now she beats them up and works with another assassin?! Bitch-sensei, what in the world!
This whole episode was a big “What?” with Irina’s betrayal, the identity of Reaper, and finding out that Karasuma actually isn’t a dumbass. And that’s actually where everything starts.
The kids remember that Irina’s birthday had passed four days ago and she grumbles that the kids got presents (their new suits) and that she didn’t get anything. The kids, as always, come up with a plan to get a little romance going on. Some students distract Irina, and another group go out and buy her a present with all the money they chipped in together. It’s then that Nagisa and his group catch the attention of the flower owner from the previous episode that saw the accident with the old man and called the ambulance. He coaxes the kids into buying a bouquet of lovely roses. The kids take it to Karasuma and tell him to give it to Irina, without mentioning that the kids bought them. After the other group ditched Irina, she comes storming into the teacher’s room and that’s when Karasuma gives her the flowers.
But it doesn’t go as sweet as me or the kids wanted. Karasuma goes on and says this may be the first and last birthday they’ll celebrate together as either they leave each other for good after completing their mission, or they all die if they fail the mission. Irina is hurt by this and she realizes the kids were behind this. It’s then she realizes, hey this is stupid. This is just a job, I’m only with the kids and Karasuma because I have an assassination job to do, What am I doing? She throws the bouquet back at Karasuma and leaves the school. One of the kids mentions Karasuma’s words being pretty cold, and it’s then that we learn that…hey, he actually does realize that Irina has feelings for him. He knows this but he purposely shoots her down because if there’s romance between them it can really get in the way of their jobs, killing Koro-sensei.
After, we see Irina at her car talking to herself that maybe she should leave the school altogether and it’s then we see a figure behind her.
Days pass, and Irina hasn’t come to class and no one can get in touch with her. The students wonder if they all went too far with their plan, but then someone casually walks into the classroom. And it threw me off. It’s the flower salesman.
He’s not a flower salesman, but an assassin. His name is Reaper. Asking Ritsu to bring up an image on her screen, it’s an image of a tied-up, kidnapped Irina. Obviously, Reaper is the one that took her. He proposes a deal to the students: either they go to the designated place where he wants them to go without telling the other teachers and they can save Irina, or they don’t and he’ll send Irina over to them…individually, in separate pieces. So of course they all plan to go, even though Terasaka said they had no obligation to go but truth is, they all really like her so there’s no way they wouldn’t go. Even though they know that this is a trap to hold them hostage so Koro-sensei would save them.
Well, that pretty much happens. They all go to the place where Reaper is and he traps them in a cage. But the kids are prepared and find a hollow wall where they use explosives to make a hole. They split up into two groups, one where they go after Reaper and the other going to save Irina. To make things short, Hinata’s group easily gets defeated by Reaper, who somehow looked like a black ghost. *checks* Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’m not watching Ajin.
And then the other group saves Irina, but they get knocked down by her! She’s…working with Reaper. Huh? Whoa that just came out of nowhere! I don’t think her feelings being hurt by Karasuma spurred on this sudden betrayal, she has to be brainwashed or something, I just don’t believe it. Also, I’m pretty sure Reaper is the one that killed Irina’s teacher, so when she finds this out there’s gonna be hell to pay.
So next week Karasuma and doggy Koro-sensei will save the kiddies and see what the hell is up with Irina. I’m hoping she really is brainwashed, so Karasuma can finally say the right things and something cute can happen. Hey, I ship them don’t judge me. We know that Karasuma knows Irina’s feelings for him, but do we know his feelings about her? Hm hm hmmmm. Also, Reaper himself. I don’t know what to think about him. He’s scary, very scary. Will he be the main villain this season? I would like to learn more about him, but with this guy around killing Koro-sensei in just a few months is going to be even more harder.
Also this is completely unrelated to the main plot, but Koro-sensei went to Brazil to be in a soccer game. And in a park in Rio de Janeiro he was grading math and he kept saying 7-1 out loud, and the Brazilians around him got super pissed and tried killing him because…ahhh. Being a soccer fan, this was actually really fucking funny to me. Because 7-1 was the score of the semifinals of the 2014 World Cup that was held in Brazil, where Brazil lost to Germany 7-1. And oh man I cannot tell you how painful it was watching that game because Brazil is one of my favorite teams, and they were just massacred. It was that bad, and it pissed off the Brazilians lol. Anyway, sorry this is an anime blog not a sports blog, it was just really funny.
NEXT WEEK!
Females are fragile – says he while hitting her harder than he hit anyone else.
And why skip straight to her at that point instead of hitting them in order like he did with all the others before and after?
Showing off his speed and strenght? Arrogant bastard.
