Again, what an awfully long title
WAIT A SECOND !

I KNOW THAT

I’VE SEEN THAT SENTENCE SOMEWHERE BEFORE

YES! AHAHA I KNOW

The title of this episode “What Are We? Where Are We Going? Where Do We Come From?” is actually the English translation of the title of french panting. In French, the painting is named “D’où venons-nous ? Que sommes-nous ? Où allons-nous ?” and was painted by the Paul Gauguin in 1987. However, the correct order to match the French’s original name would be ” Where do we come from? What are we ? Where are we going? “. I don’t know if it’s the show’s fault of if it’s the official English translation that is done this way but yeah… I just wanted to say it…

” EEEEEHH Charibo, don’t try to impress people and to look intelligent by telling what you’ve just learnt from Wikipedia”

” Jean-Kevin, I think we’re going to have a discussion,  what did I told you about blowing up my cover ?”

” YOU CAN’T FIRE MY I HAVE A PERMANENT CONTRACT”

” God dammit…”

Let’s all take a moment to admire Medici’s baby seat. It’s fabulous

The episode opens with Ishimoto driving the boys to the Kowan TV studio because they’ve been  invited to the emission “Sing a song”. She seems more excited about that than the boys. According to them, “Sing a song”  is an emission airing late at night with only a few watchers and is going to end after this season.  Well, in my opinion, that’s still something. I don’t know if they are really famous but if they aren’t they shouldn’t depreciate little jobs like that. “Every opportunity is a unique chance” used to say my grand mother.

At the Studio, Ishimoto is carrying them to their dressing room. It’s her first time being in a studio and she’s literally amazed by everything. However, the guys are not and act like that stuff is common for them. They seem a little depressed and the things only worsened when a random dude mistook Ishimoto for the prop master and ask her to put the guys in the storage room, thinking that they are some kind of furniture.

The struggle is real

On their way to their dressing rom they meet with a famous Enka singer named Mitajima, who obviously, doesn’t talk, but sings everything. Medici falls off he cart in front of the Enka singer and although the singer doesn’t mind at all it’s not okay for his bitch assistant who wears waaay too much eye shadow.

He’s on crack. LOL

Once they’ve arrived to their dressing room the boys start to be in the doldrums. They don’t even want to participate to the show and ask Ishimito to leave them alone. I like how their faces were cracking like they were about to break. Such despair

Oh

Actually I shouldn’t be laughing. If they break, they will certainly die. Yeah I shouldn’t laugh.

Anyway… A cute idol named Mira enters their room with her manager saying that she’s been a fan of them since they first apparence. She calls them the “rockies” and that’s actually a pretty good nickname. I shall steal that. She asks to take a picture with them and leaves right after. Her apparence made a great impression in our boy’s hearts and now they’re ready to roll! They also lecture Ishimoto because she didn’t take Mira’s phone number. Guess they are back to normal now.

Fufufufufu this is so ridiculous. Wait a second. Why is my heart beating so fast when I see them ?

I made some researches to find the authors of each sculptures, because…. I like that stuff. Don’t judge me but I’ve always liked sculptures, painting and museum of ancient arts. So, if I’m not mistaken, the Medicis bust was made by the quite famous Michel-Ange, St giorgio or St Georges by Donatello, Hermes by Praxitèle. Mars is the tricky one, I’m not really sure but based on what I saw it was probably made by Alcamenes.

The “Charibo is learning how to have some kind of general artistic knowledge” minute is over. Thank you for your kind attention, she is really grateful-

I was afraid that the magic happening during the first episode would have been lost but nope. I’m still enjoying this. However, because I can’t really find too much things to say about each episode, I’m going to start reviewing this show every two weeks. So will probably see you in two weeks for a double review on the episodes 3 and 4.

As a kind of bonus, Well, I can’t really say it’s a bonus because generally a bonus is something positive and I’m not really sure if what I’m talking about is something really positive and oh mon dieu, this sentence is way too long.

What was I saying,

Oh yes

I drew the Human version of Medici because I like him, he’s funny

And I don’t have anything better to do with my life right now
