Watching the unions be helplessly massacred by the Arianhood fleets in mobile suits and ships which were manipulated so that they would not be able to defend themselves in any way continued to disgust me with their unjust and vile methods. Gjallarhorn had baited them all into a death trap, and simply shot them down. This could have been avoided had the unions heeded Navona’s warning and wisdom. At the same time we were able to witness a divide within Gjallarhorn. Those who support the corrupted Regulatory Bureau and their methods and those like Gaelio and Fareed who don’t. This revelation also served as a major eye-opener to what may be motivating Fareed (besides his hatred towards his father) and what his goals may be. But as of right now, we don’t know if Gaelio is participating in Fareed’s plans, let alone knows about it.
With the on-going massacre of the union’s rebellion and Fumitan’s death, it was inspiring to see Kudelia’s resolves only became stronger to become Hope. She didn’t waste any time grieving, she was thinking hard and fast, and readily took advantage of whatever tools were at her disposal. When the reporters approached Kudelia in hope to get a story from the other side of the fight, she uses them to deliver her message via broadcast. Then in order to slip the broadcast through Gjallarhorn’s iron-grip control on the media, she called up Nobliss Gordon to use his powers to pull some strings. And as a bonus, Kudelia and the Tekkadan crew were able to use the reporter’s launch to get out of the dort and contact their allies.
Up till now Kudelia has been fairly passive, but now she has reached the turning point where she is taking the initiatives. It is great to see her character development starting to bloom into the iron flower. Furthermore, I loved seeing Kudelia use her head so cleverly and anticipate to see more of that in the future as she continues to grow and fight. We will see her full broadcast next week (unless Gjallarhorn attempts to black-out the media and radio feed completely, since it appears those who are in the mobile suits ships can also hear her voice).
It was a gusty and bold move for Tekkadan getting themselves involved in this fight against the Arianhood fleets. Perhaps the best part is being is seeing them be so aware they are completely outnumbered in this fight, and their best and only option really is to run for it- since it had not been their intentions to pick a fight in the first place. Mika interfered with the massacred here and there, and was be responsible to safeguard and serve as a decoy while the Reporter’s Team launch and escort them safely to their ship. But before the core of Arianhood fleets had arrived, Galeio and Ein jumped into the fray solely to attempt to kill Mika. Gaelio had taken out his family’s renowned antique, Gundam Kimiaris to fight against Mika. Since he was in a different machine, it took Mika a while before eventually realizes it is ‘chocolate guy’ talking to him, and nicknames him Gali Gali (can we have more of this please? For future opponents?). In the mean time, Ein is forced to fight against Shiro, who is piloting Crank’s mobile suit, re-painted red and now has the name of Ryusei-Go (named by none other than Shiro himself). As expected Ein gets all ticked off about it the ‘lame paint job and name’.
Since Kudelia is now on the broadcast, according to the preview it implies the Arianhood fleets may be forced to let Tekkadan pass. It could simply be because they may be unable to get her off the broadcast feed, and knows they will taint their public image if they kill her on screen. It will be interesting to see how the story of the truth will resonate and influence the public, or will Kudelia make a powerful declaration of war?
Tfw there’s no mention of Aki-hero and the Gusion Rebake’s sweet shield saving maneuvers! 😛
By the way, from a creative standpoint… that’s totally my fetish.
