Episode 6
Here we go again with this show. We finally get to meet one of the characters from the episode. We open up to a huge hotel in the town, and I wonder how it got there as Haruna and Aki were really surprised to see it. Um, wouldn’t there be construction? I’m sure you’d notice that. Well, they’re surprised to see that a child like Miya is the owner of the hotel. Small, cute, and in gothic lolita clothes. Haruna and Aki are worried that Miya’s hotel is going to be taking away their customers and they don’t know what to do. But Miya seems sweet and she even invites them to an event she’ll be holding in her hotel.
Which is her singing. She’s attracting a lot of attention from the crowd who seem to love her. Haruna and Aki really worry that they’ll lose customers, so Hakone runs on stage to steal the spotlight and get some attention herself. The audience’s attention shifts over to Hakone and knowing this’ll give her powers back she transforms to her older self which garners even more attention. Miya gets angry and opens up a box which Tohya took from her and realized that the powder inside the box was what controlled the people into loving her. Kind of like Hakone’s own little box.
It’s then we learn that Miya is a hot spring goddess herself from another mountain and that she and Hakone are actually rivals. Hakone didn’t even recognize her because of the clothes. So we’re probably going to have more shenanigans happening because Miya just plain doesn’t like Hakone and just wants to best her. But I don’t mind as that might make things fun and Miya doesn’t really look like a bad person.
Episode 7
And those shenanigans do continue in the next episode. Miya gets an idea that will make people love her more than Hakone, a hot spring pool area. And the thought of that actually excites me. Just imagine swimming around and sliding down into hot relaxing water. That sounds amazing, wow.
So she uses this idea and so far it’s been a success. And after causing the group so much trouble the other day, Miya invites Tohya and the rest to her pool. Haruna is psyched and the rest of the group also have some fun. But of course, that’s not it. The other reason why Miya invited them was so Hakone would come and she could cause trouble. Really, she’s such a kid. But it’s funny, because she’s not doing anything too mean-spirited. I’m sure we’ve all spun our friends around in the pool in a makeshift whirlpool. As a hot spring goddess, she can manipulate water in any way she wants so she does exactly that to Hakone. Hakone’s about to fight back until two girls appeared but then somewhere monkeys crashed into them and they all fell into the pool. Hakone and Miya run as fast as they can away and hide behind Tohya, as they both hate monkeys. Apparently monkeys have always been a bother to goddess because they’re nasty and jump into hot springs like that, and sometimes they eat the offerings. So they ask Tohya to somehow get rid of them.
He buys steamed buns and lures them away with them, and we don’t even get to formally meet the two girls that appeared. I wonder what relation they have to Miya and Hakone. I don’t think they’re goddesses, something else maybe. Oh, and Miya gains a crush on Tohya after he saved her and Haruna gets jealous.
I really like Miya. She’s cute and she’s not really mean I think. She’s like those characters on shows that just play little pranks on the people they don’t like but for some reason they think their pranks are so good that they’re the best but that just makes them look delusional. These two episodes Hakone hasn’t really done much to permanently gain back her powers, we just spent this time getting to know Miya, to which I don’t mind at all.
