♪ ♫ I’m sure, I’m sure tomorrow we will have the most dazzling performance ♪ ♫
Sorry, no Wiz Khalifa for you this week, just the usual bunch of good looking fellows. But eh, I’m the last one to complain.

The episode starts with the loser team being summoned to Hiagari’s ( the guy with glasses) office. In order to apologize for starting a fight in the previous episode, they have to write a letter saying ” I’m sorry, I promise I won’t do it again” and they will have to clean the school for one week. However Shu mentions that apparently Higari negotiated with the teachers in their favor. Strange, I thought that the Loser Team was Otori’s responsibility but OH WELL I guess he’s too occupied dancing in the rain to care about administrative stuff (and his team)…
Speaking of the devil, Otori comes to announce big news. For the “debut performance” they’re going to present “Ayanagi Showtime” a piece based on an old story about a prince who becomes a king instead of following his dreams and his love. Otori also wants them to decide which one is going to be the team leader, and without any surprise Kakeru-kun opens his big mouth to auto proclaim himself the leader. Tsukigami doesn’t agree and they start fighting. Special mention to Kakeru with his killer phrase :
But overall, they are all buddies. They train together and even go to a Fast food. Well except for Shu, but to be honest I didn’t notice that he wasn’t there in the first place.
Kakeru the douche, first of the name, never went to a Fast food before, because you know, he’s from an upper-class family and he doesn’t usually hang out with commoners. But oh well, this scene, even if it’s a bit “cliché ” made me laugh. Also Kakeru is contracting the Clark Kent syndrome which consists in believing that putting glasses on makes you look like a different person.
They happen to see the Team Hiragi aka The cool kid’s team practicing their choreography. Apparently they are really good and obviously better than Yuta and his dancing comrades. Their song his nice, I can’t judge the dance because I don’t know anything about dance (except for Tecktonik… God that was ZE shit in France in 2003, if you don’t know this golden period of French music I strongly recommend yo to look at the clip “Alive” from Mondotek, you won’t regret it. This is gold, and yes I’m so ashamed of myself right now).
Discerning reader: Stop digressing Charibo, we don’t care about your life.
Le moi: You’re so mean to me reader ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ Anyway, Let’s continue !
Because of seeing their rivals rockin’ balls in with their performance, our little team gets all insecure about their skills so they all start to say things like ” we’re going to lose”, “we don’t stand a chance”, ” We’re going to be eliminated”. Just to be clear : you just saw the BEST team performing. After the “debut performance” half of the teams are going to be eliminated, I can’t remember the exact number of Star Teams but I’m sure there are more than two. SO ! because you don’t stand a chance (now), against the BLOODY BEST TEAM OF ALL THE ACADEMY, doesn’t mean that you’re going to loose against the other teams. So cheer up a bit, god dammit, I didn’t signed up to be a life style coach…
Discerning reader: Nobody asked you to be one…
Le moi: …So let’s continue with …
Because of his teammates being bad shounen heroes, Yuta decides to train alone again and again. But since he’s not able to do the crazy spin turn he decides to go running in the rain, crying because he’s useless and he’s going to make everybody lose. During his run, he passes by a fancy coffee shop where Shu is working. The latter one sees Yuta and invites him inside. While going home together, Shu tells Yuta his personal story and why he wants to become a musical artist. It’s actually to make his mother smile. Yuta then, realizes what was he reason for starting all the dancing/singing stuff : THE BLOODY RAIN DUDE ( always there deep inside his fragile kokoro). I’m still wondering HOW THE HELL ON EARTH, Yuta doesn’t realizes that Otori his the rain dude. Oh ! I know, he must be contracting the Clark Kent syndrome too. Changing your hair cut and Voilà nobody can recognize you, not even your own mother.
So Yuta decides to practice again in the morning and manage to do the crazy spin like the rain dude/Otori. But he didn’t noticed that all the members of the loser team were there, watching him dancing, like professional creepers ʕ→ᴥ←ʔ
The ending song was too nice, filled with sweet feelings, talking about dreams and stuff ( except for Kakeru’s part when he was basically saying that he wants to punch Yuta). This is Kitch as hell but that’s how I like it.
After the song, the all team announced their leader choice to Otori and SURPRISE SURPRISE : it’s Yuta ʕ ◔ᴥ◔ ʔ
Well, I don’t really know what’s going to happen in the next episode, the preview wasn’t really clear (mostly because they were talking about a strawberry milkshake recipe). Seems that they’re going to train again and maybe begin the “Debut performance”. Oh also… GIRLS ! 2 for the price of one. I think they are Nayuki’s sisters ( it’s all in the eyes).
Also, strange fact, no sudden singing in this episode. I thought that the songs were properly introduced. I didn’t jump of my seat surprised by the sudden beginning of a song (like for Kakeru or Shu’s ones).

Thank you for the fun review <3 Reading this kind of review sure makes my day. I myself don't watch this anime (still cannot pass the first 10 minutes from episode 1; got really fidgety and uncomfortable when watching them act and dance). I have no idea what happened or even remember which face belongs to which name most of the time, but it's nice to read them here. Thank you.
I should be the one thanking you for your really nice comment, It actually made my day too ʕ→ᴥ←ʔ. It so encouraging when people say that they enjoy your work. It’s giving me courage to continue and to spend more and more time trying to make my reviews enjoyable and funny. So thank you very much for the nice feedback ◟ʕ´∀`ʔ◞
