The Usami family is nothing if not problematic, with all of the things going on last episode. The stress of Misaki having to get a job, deciding if he’s going to stay with Usagi or move out after graduation and one unwanted house guest. How could it get any worse? Well, add on another unwanted house guest and a phone call to Usagi’s father with a snide comment about their relationship and you have the perfect recipe for yaoi drama!
Now Kaoruko has come to visit so she can bake a cake with Misaki. Ah right, that’s the cake girls name. Mizuki is insistent on making everything as complicated as he can. Hanging all over Usagi, GET OFF MISAKI’S MAN! This is all bad enough, but after Mizuki makes an off comment about Usagi’s father being the reason he came to stay there. Usagi actually decides to call his father.
As we recall from the previous seasons, his relationship with the rest of his family isn’t the greatest thing in the world. So he makes an off comment like “If you’re too antsy even being apart from him, your relationship is too fragile to last.”
He has a fair point, but I don’t even want to begin with how all of Usagi’s mental security problems are his fault. So I wont, but I’ll tell you this, parenting. You did it wrong.
Meanwhile, while all of that is going on. Misaki gets part time work at the manga editing part of Marukawa publishing. Cameo!? Cameo!? Give me a cameo! Ritsu? Takano? Kisa? Yokozawa!? Noooo, no cameo’s this episode. I’ll hold out hope for the future, it’s not as if this is the last time we’ll peek inside the Marukawa building as Misaki begins his hard path to apply to be a manga editor.
So to resolve all this contrived drama, Usagi and Misaki go for a walk on the beach. Talk things out, make out in the sand, are totally adorkable and build a sand mound and then dig through it to hold hands! Not exactly in that order, but you get the idea.
everything turns out alright, other then the fact they still have two unwanted house guests. Who are hell bent on accompanying Misaki on his trip with his friend to get his manga signed by his favorite author. Not just them, Usagi too!
The Usami family is really problematic….
CUTE, this episode was cute, super cute! I paused and hyperventilated a few times from pure fangirl cute! I say the drama is contrived because, well it is but you know. That’s what makes this show and it’s sister show so charming to me. It’s silly, a little over the top but fun. Well, for the most part. I just know the Terrorist pairing is coming…
Can I just have an entire series with the main couple with some hints of Hiroki and Nowaki? Please? PLEASE? I don’t want to have to review the Terrorist pairing.
