Well thank goodness I don’t have to suffer another episode with the crazy trio. Instead we take a look at a character that has previously been in the show, but not had very much discussed about them.  Mizuki Akabayashi of the Akakusu group. [Like, I knew his face but not his name until this episode.] Nor did i know about his connection to the Sonohara family or why he had that scar across his eye.
You have to be pretty bad ass to get cut by Saika and then rip out your eye because the noise of the sword inside your head is annoying you.

For one episode though, it does a wonderful job at introducing you to the character and having you come to like him. With his stance against drugs, his connection with Akane and how cute the two of them talking together is. To him treating Anri like a daughter because of the relationship that he had with her mother. He’s honestly a really swell guy.

You get a brief moment with Seiji running into Anri and Akabayashi to give you an idea of the time frame this episode takes place during.

I think the highlight of this episode for me was the part with the flashback to who killed the boss of the old group that Akabayashi was in. The boy, shaking and angry that his sister had been doped up on drugs attacking this mob boss. Akabayashi making the decision to stand aside and not get involved because of his anger of what his boss had done to the Sonohara family.
Then covering up the crime, wiping the prints off the blade and having the kid cover up his blood soaked shirt. Having people until this very day, blame him for that mans death.

I’d enjoyed his character for the rest of the episode but that was the part that honestly settled it for me. Seeing that he placed his love for Sayaka above the life of his boss. It’s endearing in that “I’m not part of the mob, so i don’t understand the members connection to the boss” kinda way. I could see where it’s wrong to betray someone like that, but when they’re smack talking the love of your life and threatening to sell their daughter into sex slavery.
Well there are lines.

The next episode has Shizuo and Verona in it, well this is going to be fun! I’ve heard a lot about the relationship between these two and while I may be sort of like Erika with my Shizaya. I am not un-open to seeing him with a beautiful Russian Assassin girl.
