Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders S2 Episode 23: Dio’s World, Part III

OKAY LET ME JUST SAY THE CHANGE IN THE OPENING WITH THE WORLD AND STAR PLATINUM IN THE END WAS REALLY FUCKING COOL. THAT WAS SO COOL. OH MY GOD. FUCK. OKAY…I’M GOOD.

Well I did not expect this. At all. Because Star Platinum and The World are the same type of Stands, then that means Jotaro can move only for a moment in the stopped time and he can do the weird Super Saiyan shit. That surprised me a lot, because I was really worried about Jotaro. You’d think because he can move in the stopped time he’d have an easy time, but not at all. Jotaro isn’t OP enough to move during the whole time. With a little more practice he probably could, but he has to make do with what he can do. And with the perfect timing he can really do a number on Dio. And as always, Jotaro is very smart. The whole thing with the magnet and stuffing the magazines into his shirt and hat when anticipating Dio would throw things at him. Very clever on his part. And pretending to be dead and stopping his own heart. Man, what can’t Star Platinum do?! He is just too amazing. And because he can keep calm, Jotaro can come up with a smart plan. Though he really would have been dead if Polnareff hadn’t shown up. But poor Polnareff didn’t get the spotlight today. But good job man, you did good.

I have to say, The World’s ability to stop time is cool and all, but it’s a little cowardly. Especially on Dio’s part. Even if he can only stop time for five seconds, you can still kill someone in those five seconds. Especially for Dio, considering his strength. Honestly it’s nothing to him. I guess he enjoys toying with his enemies, like with the knives. This asshole had a whole bunch of knives ready to impale Jotaro with. Of course it was also just a test to see how much Jotaro could move in the stopped time, but it’s just so low. Even more when he made the cop shoot Jotaro just to see a reaction. It’s just me, but if he really wasn’t sure whether Jotaro was playing dead or not, I would just bash his head in or something. I don’t know. I just expected more out of Dio. I guess my problem is that he’s using the stop time ability a little too much, because it’s the easier way to kill. This ability would be more terrifying if he only used it occasionally. But because he’s using it all the time, he’s giving Jotaro more chance to get used to it and move.

But taking Joseph’s blood, I think it’ll just be brute strength from here on out. Taking Joestar blood gives him a boost, so with this power up I hope he won’t have to rely on stopping time, as that just makes things a little boring. Though that just makes me worried, if Jotaro can’t beat him. I don’t want Holly to die!! I want her to live, for Jotaro to go home, hug and kiss and live happily. I want this in the finale next week. And an awesome end to this showdown.
