Oh boy, once again we’re back to the wonderful world of Etotama. And…Piyo-tan doesn’t say anything this episode. Awesome. Do I still have to review this episode? (Looks over to Eva) …oh fine.
So this episode picks up with Nya-tan defeating the boar girl and getting her seal. Well that was….anticlimatic.
Anywho, after spending a whole 20 seconds dealing with that, we jump to a character we really haven’t dealt with in a while, Mo-tan (aka the ox girl) it seems she’s back to her usual craziness of wanting inside Nya-tan’s pants. (Why anyone would want to get in her pants is beyond me)
Finally Takeru finally asks “Okay, explain to me why you’re so into Nya-tan”. We learn in a backstory that Mo-tan used to periodically live with human families, however humans tend to die after a while. One time after being sad when they died, Nya-tan stopped by with her retarded self and told her not to be sad and that she’ll be in her family so she won’t have to worry about her dying. Ever since then she’s taken this as a proposal and wants to get it on Yuri style.
Meanwhile back at the plot, we find out that that rule that Chu-tan wanted to put through that no one can interfere with a battle has been officially put through and she’ll be coming for Nya-tan soon. However before this she shows up and sees M0-tan and unwilling to let Chu-tan kill Nya-tan she fights her.
After a long heated battle where Mo-tan actually does quite well Chu-tan becomes infused with some kind of energy and beats up Mo-tan and uses some sort of special move to pull out her Etotama (ah name drop!) which I suppose is basically the equivalent of their magical soul and destroys it, supposedly effectively killing her, but not before Mo-tan infects Chu-tan with…some kind of weird energy that’s not explained.
She then “dies” (uses air quotes) and that’s where the episode ends to a montage of Mo-tan footage.
(rolls eyes) look show. I’m sorry. I’m not going to get invested in what you are trying to push on us as a “character death”. I believed you once before and you fucked with me. You know the saying, “Fool me once, shame on you.” I don’t care if they wanted to make it look real, I refuse to get invested in this “death”. You can’t do the exact same thing a bunch of episodes back and then expect me to all of a sudden believe that THIS time it’s for real just because. Even if she did die she’ll come back at the end of the series anyway. They already proved that death is effectively worthless in this show.
And speaking of the boar girl what the fuck was that in the beginning of the episode? Nya-tan gets her sol/lull seal in a fight that makes the boar girl look absolutely pathetic. It’s not making Nya-tan look cooler or more powerful, it’s really just making a bunch of the zodiac look like utter crap. Seriously, the boar, the monkey, and the dog all suck ass. I’m glad I wasn’t born in one of their years because they’re getting the SHAFT.
I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again. The biggest problem with this show is the fact that their main character is Nya-tan. You showing me a random flashback is not going to make me thing she’s not an idiotic douchebag. I actually do not even want her to succeed. I’m also kind of annoyed that Mo-tan likes her so much. Seriously Mo, you can do a lot better than her.
I’m sure this episode was meant to elicit some sort of emotion like when mo was like “you couldn’t kill Nya-tan 60 years ago because you loved her!” Seriously? Why would ANYBODY fucking love that bitch? “I” don’t love that bitch. Do any of YOU who watch this show like this bitch? There are so many better characters in this show and they’re trying to use her amnesia as an excuse to let her be an asshole, but it doesn’t work that way. I didn’t feel sadness in this episode, only annoyance that you thought you could fool me twice. Shame on you show.
