Although this episode was rather uneventful, I have to say, I think this was my favorite Group Unit Episode and Song of them all. Tokiya and Masato were assigned to write up lyrics for a song they are to perform at the Neo Dram Music Festival Performance. These two are very much on the same wavelengths. They share similar tastes and styles, easy to communicate with each other- not once did they have a fight. Instead, the problem was ended up in a deadlock because they were too similar to each other. Both of them have a problem where they develop a tunnel vision solely focusing on their work, failing to acknowledge what is happening around them. They failed to notice how their fellow STARISH comrades gave them plenty of space and quiet in order to help them focus on their lyrics, made them a lunch to cheer them on (covered by Haruka who had written the note in their stead). It was Haruka who had to break the news behind the truth of why they haven’t seen their comrades around, and explain they were not busy working, they were just doing things elsewhere in order not to disturb the two of them. Their team also have the most faith in them. They knew that Masato and Tokiya were going to figure things out and come up with some magical lyrics, so they weren’t concerned about the deadlock situation.

It was nice to see this time round, Haruka’s minimal role in assisting the project. All she had to do was share a melody she had came up with on the spot to provide the two the inspiration they needed to come up with the lyrics. Masato and Tokiya was like two peas of the pod, they are completely synched with each other. Sure enough they came up with a wonderful song, the melody and lyrics were fantastic, and man, I can’t tell you how disappointed I was of how short the freaking song was. (This is exactly what I said: “WAIT WHAT THAT’S IT? THAT’S THE SONG? OH COME ON, GIVE ME MORE, TOO SHORT MAN WAY TOO SHORT” SO GIMME THE SINGLE MAN!) Their song is my favourite one to date- which includes topping my favourites from the first two seasons. I found it to be mesmerizing and man their voices just meshed together like butter. Definitely my favourite duet of the group! <3
As whole this was a solid episode. It is certainly different from the usual, such as loud humor. Since Masato and Tokiya are both quiet indivuals, I enjoyed their quiet humor. With the Cross Units projects presumably completed (and a major success at that), with four more episode to go, I would say it is a given that next week it will be a Reiji central episode- and then we should see the last minute drama for the SSS Festival. And I won’t lie, I am itching for that drama and I am hoping it will have a good payoff to make up for the lackluster episodes.
