Tribe Cool Crew Episode 29 (Tea Time and Bishonen Yuzuru)
You know, sometimes, when you watch A Tribe Cool Crew filler episode, you get an episode like the basketball one, where it’s cool, and there’s touchy feely goodness. Other Times, you get insane and terrible episodes like the pickle episode. Then there are times when you get an episode like this one. This..I don’t even know what to say about this episode. So you know what? Lets just start the recap.
So the episode starts out with Kanon and her sister Kimika going to a tea house as a chance to hang out. When they arrive they see that Yuzuru happens to be there as well. Having only seen Yuzuru at that one instance a few episodes back when he basically said he was a fan of her mother’s idol work, Kimika doesn’t have a very high opinion of him. But it seems they’re both there at that specific tea shop for the same reason. To have this amazing super tea called “The Miracle Tea” this old lady only makes once a year and only gives to certain people.
However, as they’re talking about it, two robbers come in demanding the special tea.
They are unarmed, but apparently that doesn’t matter as they can…kick..people.
BEST ROBBERS EVER.
Right when they demand the tea, Yuzuru begins to meditate and puts on a one hour countdown timer.
As the old lady’s getting the tea, she triggers the alarm and the cops show up.
Pretending they have a gun they take Kanon hostage and she then appears on the news.
Not being able to sit by any longer Kimika offers herself as the hostage. They take her and finally the one hour timer ends and Yuzuru begins to dance with Kanon. After they dance for a minute, Yuzuru then finally transforms, and becomes…Bishonen Yuzuru.
We learn that it takes an hour of concentration, and it only lasts for a minute, but he can become super bishonen Yuzuru for that time, and with that, beats up the thieves.
This actually has a funny side effect. Kanon doesn’t really like bishonen Yuzuru and wants him to turn back quickly….however….
Kimika doesn’t quite feel that way.
Afterwards, the old lady says that Yuzuru should have the tea, and gives it to him, and he offers to have a tea party with Kimika, to which she says she’d love to.
So i’m sitting here thinking “oh shit, what the hell would that girl who likes Yuzuru think about this?” and then immediately as if to answer my question, they very quickly cut back to her in a “i feel a disturbance in the force” moment, and it made me actually laugh quite a bit.
And that’s where the episode ends.
Honestly, I have to say, this episode…I don’t even with this episode. It’s silly, it’s ridiculous, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t have a lot of fun with this one. Yuzuru episodes are always great and it was nice to see Kanon and Yuzuru have their own little adventure without the other three.
And of course, you can’t talk about this episode without talking about Bishonen Yuzuru. This…this was a funny concept. I actually wondered what he would look like thin, and I suppose they decided to cater to me. It’s very funny that’s it’s only a “once in a while” deals, and not what he looks like all the time, because it would lose its charm.
This whole episode was silly, but it’s a fun kind of silly. Is it realistic? No, of course not, but this episode was just one that you can just sit back and enjoy. There’s no big plot revelation, no real drama going on, its just the show having fun and being silly. And of course, while I do really like Yuzuru and that other chick, I’d be okay if he ended up with Kimika…because honestly, it’s kind of adorable.
Also, if that were the case, Yuzuru and Kanon would be in-laws, and that would be kinda swanky.
All in all, it was silly, but I had a hell of a lot of fun. It’s probably the first filler episode since the basketball one that I really felt like I really ENJOYED watching it.
Good on you Tribe cool,
