Those were probably the best frightened reactions I’ve ever seen in anime ever. I was laughing my ass off the whole time they were running through the place. Ah man I love these guys.
We have a little bit of Plasmagica in this episode, but they didn’t really do anything since our crimson boys were the stars. But anyway, they still had a part. A girl from a band came to them in hopes that they can help her find her missing bandmate. She came to them because she saw how Cyan took out that dark monster at Trikronika’s concert, and she believes they can help her. Well, they agree to, and then the girl takes them to Yokai Street, where she lives. Because she’s a yokai, and Yokai Street is full of the yokai race unsurprisingly. As they walk, Marimari explains that her missing bandmate recently was worrying about his keyboard playing, and then after that he went missing. She’s upset she didn’t catch on to his problems and take him seriously. And she’s not even sure that Tsugihagi is still in Yokai Street, but knowing what a sensitive personality he has, she thinks he didn’t go too far. But then Berry interrupts them, warning them of a monster.
But before we get to that!
SHINGANCRIMSONZ finishes their rehearsal of their new song. and Rom tells them that they need to show it off, and he heard rumors of a place where street performances are popular. Well, no surprise, they also go to Yokai Street. But for some reason, they took a different entrance, where it was really dark and scary. And the boys (except Rom) were screaming and running and freaking out from the yokai scaring them. These guys always make me laugh, and this part was just too funny. After running and crying, they finally make it to the area where they’re supposed to perform, Ushimitsu Plaza, where concerts take place. And this is when the monster comes in.
The boys get onto the stage, ready to perform when the dark monster appears. The boys get sucked in with the monster, and we go back to the squishy CGI. At this time, Cyan and the others race to the plaza and are too late. Cyan tries to go into the weird dimension place to help the boys, but she couldn’t as there was a barrier preventing her from doing that. So Cyan can’t do a thing. The fight against the monster is all up to the boys. At first they look as though they were about to lose, but after inspiring words from Rom, they summon their powers and beat the dark monster without any problems. I gotta admit, this part was pretty cool. Rom is a total badass, but they all are. I found it funny in the end that they didn’t even know that they were fighting a dark monster, and they just thought it was the yokai messing with them again. I thought it was a great episode for them, I’m glad the show isn’t pushing them in the background but instead giving them some spotlight too. So I guess Cyan isn’t the only one that can fight the dark monsters. Seeing their powers, SHINGANCRIMSONZ can stand on their own as well, so at least Cyan won’t have to do all the fighting on her own. So if the boys can handle a monster together, does that mean we’ll see Plasmagica take down a monster together too? I hope so, that would be pretty cool.
And so we learn of a new plot point. It turns out, the dark monster was the missing bandmate, Tsugihagi. The guy working for Dagger actually caused all of this mess. He intentionally spread the rumors about Yokai Street, and he wanted to take out Cyan, but was going to take out Crimson first. When the monster was defeated, we saw a pink blob thing come out of the tree trunk, where Tsugihagi was, and it crawled away.
Big trouble! In the end, without anyone noticing, it went into Aion. Tsugihagi was worrying about his keyboard playing, and he turned out to be the monster. The pink blob probably also has something to do with turning into the monster as well. But now it went into Aion. That pink blob must be attracted to people with darkness in their hearts, so Aion must be worrying about something, or displeased, or something along those lines for that thing to go into him. Or it could be random. The blob must be targeting band members individually to break a band up, since that’s what Dagger wants: no other bands. But now we have a problem that everyone is going to have to face next episode, Aion possibly being turned into a dark monster, or just being possessed, as his eyes glowed a little red. We’ll see how that turns out.
I’m totally laughed when Crow and co got scared at the two yokais and the facial expressions look real! XD
Cyan really wants to help the guys out in retrieving the keyboardist of the yokai inspired band (forgot the name), but the crooks already blocked her way out and no choice but it’s up to SHINGANCRIMSONZ battling the dark monster all by themselves.
I also noticed the subs at the OP and the ED, quite nice. I think the next episodes will become intense.
