Man…I wish this guy had been MY teacher.
So the episode starts off with Kagami and this girl he apparently hangs out with on an MMO defeating an ancient dragon. After they beat it they realize that there’s no more quests to beat with the exception of a group quest that will take place the next day. The problem is, they need 35 people to join and there’s only two of them.
So of course,Kagami takes it on himself to recruit the class.
He does this by telling them that it’s an interactive history of warfare. He then sends the class in and begins to teach them the ways of playing the game. At first he eggs them on by telling them they’ll get no homework for a month if they can knock off even 1 of his hp, but of course no one succeeds.
The next step is to have them fight random hoards.
As they’re training however, he realizes that there’s only 34 people there as he’s missing a classmate. The missing classmate is another one of the truant students who stopped coming to school. Needing that one extra person he heads over to their house, only to find out that not only is the girl who played with him this whole time the truant, but (sigh) it’s a trap and it’s really a he.

and that’s where the episode ends.
Yes, this was a short recap. The reason for that is, nothing really big happened in the way of plot this episode. The vast majority was spent in the game and him telling the students how to play. Not to say it wasn’t good, it just doesn’t lend itself well to very lengthy recaps.
On the contrary, I actually quite enjoyed this episode. It was fun, it had all the characters from previous episodes, and it showed them working together for the first time.
The only thing that I see missing from this show is a romantic interest. And I don’t know if there’s going to be one. I already know that the voice actress chick and the buff dude have a thing going on, so that leaves the author, the quiet girl, and the maid. I’m not certain if they’re going to do anything with either of those, but if they do, i’d be okay with any of those three being in a relationship with him. (As we see hints that all three of them may have a crush on him).
The only thing that really bothered me in this episode was the trap. Really? Was that even necessary? It isn’t even like he’s a girl in the game but dresses like a dude in real life. No, he dresses like a chick in real life too. It’s like come on….was there really a need for that? Why? (sudden realization) ohhhh. Is THAT what they’re going to do next episode? Like, he likes wearing girls’ clothes which is why he stopped coming to school and is on the game all this time? Haha, I seriously just thought of that while typing this paragraph. Ah. Okay, I see what they’re probably doing. (rolls eyes) Gee, what a convenient way to get a crossdresser in the show.
Still, with that exception, as the series is going on, i AM enjoying it more and more and I DO want to see where the episode goes next week. I’m still up in the air if I even WANT a romance….and as long as it isn’t with the dude/chick, I’m okay with that.
