This episode was a bit of a bore, wasn’t it? The first half didn’t really do anything to further the plot, it didn’t really have anything to do with what they had set up for their island trip on Okinawa, except one little detail. The second half was just a set up for the planned assassination. We have no idea what the students planned, but from all the preparation they did and the confidence on their faces, it should be good.

The first part is easy to summarize. It’s a week before their island trip, and Nagisa and the boys are in the forest around the school collecting bugs because they want to make money before the trip and because beetles can cost a lot of money, like almost everyone knows from Animal Crossing. Kurahashi explains certain beetles won’t cost a lot, but she’s looking for another kind that’ll make thousands. It’s then they bump into another student, where said student planted a trap. A whole pile of porn magazines in the middle of the forest, with Koro-sensei (dressed as a stag beetle to blend in) in pure bliss as he’s reading through them. Okajima figured out which porn stuff he liked, put the best ones in a pile, and under the pile of magazines, is a net full of anti-Koro bullets. He has it all set up, but the plan is ruined when Koro-sensei picks up an albino beetle, the one Kurahashi was looking for so much that she ran out from hiding to celebrate with him. But Koro-sensei saw through the assassination attempt from the start anyway. He’s just ashamed the kids saw him reading porn. Later, we learn that he bribed them with popsicles to keep their mouths shut from that.

But of course they aren’t going to keep their mouths shut. And with that blackmail in mind, they’re going to use that in their assassination attempt on the island.

Back in school, Irina’s mentor comes back to help the E-Class out. From what we know of their plan, they plan on using that blackmail to catch Koro-sensei off guard. We also know that his speed is going to be significantly dropped with seven tentacles down, and plus he’s around water, so that’s another thing. So it’s finally the time of their trip. Deciding this beforehand, the class tells Koro-sensei they want to split up in groups again like their last class trip, and check out different places of the island with him. So while Koro-sensei is busy hanging out with one group, the other students make their preparations. When Koro-sensei is with Group 2, the same. And so on. Karasuma is worried how the plan will go out, but Irina looks like she has a plan in mind if the students happen to mess up, so that’s another thing to look forward to.

At the end of the day, they head out to eat at a restaurant together. Koro-sensei had actually got a pretty bad sunburn (more like he got charred), and he shed off his skin so everyone could see his colorful expressions. But he screwed himself over. He can only shed his skin once a month, so if something were to happen in the plan that would require him to shed his skin to save himself…well, he can’t. Oops.

After dinner, they take Koro-sensei to a floating chapel, where they’ll show him a movie to start up their assassination attempt. And that’s it. Really, this episode was just a set up for what’s to come next week where the real excitement is going to occur. It looks like the students really took a long time planning this assassination, so I expect big things.
