My adoration of Kirara only grew this episode. She continues to stay true to following through with her ambitions in order to pursue her dream of becoming a top supermodel like her mother (who had inspired her to be). However it was discreetly emphasized it comes at the cost of a hectic schedule with little time and opportunities to make friends. I found the lack of friendship in Kirara’s life was addressed subtly, but I could see her desire to be friends with Haruka was written all over her face.
In the beginning of the episode, Haruka once again tries to persuade Kirara to join their Precure team, but Kirara declines once more, telling her that she has no time for that. She offers Haruka an opportunity to tag along/be her manager for a day to experience first hand how tight her schedule is. At the end of the day, Haruka becomes even more inspired by Kirara and respects her reason to not join them.
Kirara however, never experienced someone respecting her rejection and admires her dedication towards her dream. She is charmed by Haruka’s easy-going personality and enjoyed the day they had spent together. It throws her off her rhythm of not being able to have the time to interact with her as Haruka has her own schedule, such as lessons with Minami and addressing Precure Duties. So when she gets the call back that she was passed her dream audition, Kirara shoots out the door and hurries to the scene where the girls are struggling to deal with a Zetsuborg in the city. The reason for her hurrying to the fight was not necessarily to help them out, but she just REALLY wanted to tell Haruka that she had passed the audition as soon as possible. I found that to be cute and precious and acknowledged it be a good enough reason to jump back into the fray. But this time, much to the everyone’s relief, Kirara agrees to help them out and is committed to helping them out when she can. And honestly, I am happy for her because it will at least give her the opportunity to have some time with friends.
My favourite part about this episode was how Haruka and Minami respected Kirara’s decision. So when the two of them told Close that Cure Twinkle isn’t coming because she has more important things to take care of, I loved that. These two were ready to do whatever they had to do as a duo team. Of course it made it even better for Kirara to come down to choose to join them on her own, knowing she will have to go above and beyond.
Honestly, just for the heck of it, I would really love to see a fight in the future where Kirara’s schedule clashes with an attack and the girls can be like, “Oh don’t worry we got this, run along now, you can’t be late!” or “Oh she’s at an appointment.” There are so many golden opportunities for this kind of humor.
Another moment I loved was when Kirara confessed she wanted to celebrate passing her audition with the girls and was the first to boldly call them by their first time. It was so cute because Haruka and Minami were flustered, but excited to do so. I am happy for Kirara to now have someone to celebrate her achievements with with. Ugh I love these three. I know I am going to love their friendship and I can’t wait to watch it bloom further.
Next week~ Miss Shamour will be joining the team to provide Princess Lessons, and the Prince will finally be making his debut (sadly, not in pesron just yet) and what is this, wide-eyed reunion of love at first sigh?! Bring it on, I already have stupid headcanons getting the better of me. LET ME DREAAAAMMMMMMMMMMM~

You’re absolutely right, they have set up many opportunities for conflicts to deal with later on. We will have to wait and see how they are executed, but hopefully they will be well done. :3

Dyspear finally appears only in voice though (I’m getting fishy still on what she looks like in the coming episodes). Plus, can’t wait for Ms Shamour and Lock, hehe.
Looking forward to seeing Dysear’s form. I am actually hoping it’s that silhouette we have been given glimpses of instead of than the girl in the preview. XD
If that’s the case, I would to know who the gray-haired masked violin-playing girl in the OP is. If she’s not THE villain she seems like recruitment potential.
Yeah I can see that potential too. On that note, I am wondering if she may have a similar role like Regina had in Doki Doki! Precure of being related to the the head villain. OR: she could be one of the more powerful enemy to debut in the future BEFORE the head villain.
