Saenai Heroine No Sodate-Kata Episode 4 (Creeper No Creeping!)

Oh boy. It’s that time of the week again where I get to review this show. I. Am. So. Excited. See, the sarcasm in that statement is pretty poignant. Because, well, this main guy is terrible. Of course, you already know that. But sadly, this week, he got worse. I didn’t think that was possible, but yes, he was worse. Fan-fucking-tastic.

So in the beginning of this episode we focus on the black haired writer girl. She has to write her new light novel and get it to her publisher but she’s having a bit of a hard time writing it. Her editor decides that she needs to have an interview and sets one up.

For some reason we find out that she hired the main dude to do it. Because…why not I suppose. And of course he’s his wonderful, charming self. and by that, I mean when she ironically insults herself shy, uncooperative and foul mouthed, he responds with this.

Eventually she gives in and lets him interview her, albeit she really doesn’t seem to give a shit during this interview. Then again, if this guy was interviewing me, i’d have a similar reaction. Especially as this guy is incredibly creepy.

As the interview wraps up the girl decides to help this guy write his game. Why? I have absolutely no fucking clue. It goes right from “I don’t want to interview” to “here’s a statement for the fans” and then “that plot idea that I said sucked, sure i’ll write your game.”

I was actually sitting there going “What the fuck did I just watch?”

Anyway, so we cut back to the school and we see that Eriri also decided to join in. Once again, i’m not sure why they changed their minds all of the sudden. (yes, i said “all of the sudden”. It amuses me)

He then shows them the schedule in which he wants them to make this game. And here’s the problem. The schedule he gives them doesn’t leave any room for school studying, or their own professional projects. They’d basically be devoting their entire lives to this game. And THANK GOD they tell him that’s stupid and they’re not doing it.

Now. Here’s something I didn’t think about that they finally address in this show. This guy can’t draw, he can’t write, he can’t do anything. So now that they’re actually going to start working on it, there is nothing for him to fucking do. he basically sits there with his thumb up his ass waiting for them to do all the work to create something for his masturbatory fantasy.

And then, here’s the best part. He doesn’t realize that making a game costs money.

Yes. Yes this guy did not realize that making and distributing a dating sim costs money. And he does not have ANY money. Because he’s fucking retarded.

So to combat this, he has to go get jobs. to make their goal of $10,000. mmm.. congrats dude. that’s gonna take a while part timing it on high school wages.

So now, remember when i said at the beginning of the review that this guy creeped me out more than usual? yeah. Here’s the part why.

So while working one of these part time jobs, he comes across kato, who is at the restaurant with a boy and he freaks out. Because he’s fucking creepy.

It turns out the boy is Kato’s cousin and now. here’s the creepy part. He tells her that she cannot having out with her cousin because it might give people around the wrong idea and he wants to keep her image of that of  a chaste dating sim main character.

let me reiterate this as it sinks in. he tells her not to hang out with her cousin, because he believes that it would make people think the dating sim character was a slut.

I..I don’t know how to respond to that. I am ACTUALLY at a loss. There are so many things wrong with that I don’t even know where to start. I…just…wow. you are a horrible, terrible human being. I just…wow.

And then, beyond all reason, beyond any common sense, he says she should go shopping with him instead and she AGREES.

I mean, there’s suspending my disbelief and then there’s “Are you fucking nuts?” I seriously don’t even know what to say. If this guy told me I couldn’t go hang out with my cousin because he thinks that it would make a character in a game based on me look like a slut, I would run away as quickly as possible. This guy is not charming, this guy is not pleasant. He is controlling, and disgusting.

You know, I remember another show about a guy who liked a guy he randomly met when her hat blew somewhere and treated her like she was his and told her not to see certain people…oh what was it called….

oh yeah. it was FUCKING DON’T LEAVE ME ALONE DAISY!

I just…this show. My god. this guy is really starting to creep me out. Not only do I not like him, now i’m officially uncomfortable around him. If they’re trying to play this off as cute, it’s really really not. It’s kind of scary. There is no reason these girls should like him. None. He’s not a cute, misunderstood guy, he’s fucking terrifying. I actually only really want to see this because I hope he fucking dies at the end or something. Or gets arrested for being a creeper. SOMETHING.

They’re trying to play this guy off as misunderstood and how “he’s actually falling in love with kato and doesn’t realize it” but that doesn’t matter. what he’s doing is objectifying her and it’ fucking creepy. No girl would act like this in real life and it’s not suspension of disbelief, it’s assuming that this girl’s a robot from mars. If she WAS at least that would make more sense.

Honestly, I’m only watching this show to satisfy the people who want me to rage post because I..I can’t deal with this guy. This is the kind of guy who makes all anime fans look bad. He…I…. I need a shower.
