Obligatory turn the protagonists into a kid episode. If only Polnareff were a cuter kid. Oh boy, where do I even start.
So where we left off before, the boys notice Joseph and Avdol are taking too long to meet up with them, so they head off to look for them. Iggy runs off, again, and steals a man’s sandwich and eats it. He hears noise nearby and runs to it and guess what? It was the fight between Joseph, Avdol, and Mariah. And Iggy was watching….and then walked away and did nothing.
So Jotaro and Polnareff go to the room Joseph and Avdol are sharing to see if there was a fight inside, but everything was normal. So they both head outside and start walking around town to look for them. Polnareff notices someone following them and glaring and confronts him, the man acting all innocent. This same man we saw earlier smack a kid because he accidentally got mud on his pants. This guy is our new Stand user named Alessi, with the Stand Set, which takes the form of a shadow. Polnareff jumps above the shadow to not get attacked, and Alessi escapes with Polnareff running after him. He yells out to Jotaro that there’s an enemy, but he leaves Jotaro’s sight, so Jotaro starts looking for him.
While Polnareff is chasing after Alessi, he notices how fast Alessi is running. He wonders why he can’t catch up to him. When entering a street, he runs into a man telling him to watch out, and Polnareff rudely yells at him, and notices just how large the guy is. The man smacks him and asks him why his clothes are so baggy, and Polnareff notices all the people on the street are huge. He looks at his arms and hands, at his giant shoes. And then he notices a window nearby, cleans it, and then makes the discovery that
HE’S A KID. Buck teeth, freckles and all. With the same fucking hair. His clothes did kinda shrink but are still too big for him. And now he’s freaking out and wondering why the hell he’s a kid, and doesn’t know what to do. Just then someone familiar walks by him. It’s Jotaro of course. Polnareff calls out to him for help, but he stutters, actually forgetting his name. He knows Jotaro can help him, but for some reason he’s forgotten his name. And here I was thinking Jotaro was going to recognize him, but
I love you Jotaro but you’re fucking stupid. He doesn’t recognize him. Even though he looks exactly the same, but is just smaller. He asks kid Polnareff if he’s seen his friend, Polnareff, who has the same hair as him…and earrings…and clothes…and dumb face. Kid Polnareff says that’s him, but Jotaro brushes him off and doesn’t believe him and walks away. Damn, okay. Polnareff runs after him until Alessi appears out of nowhere and traps him. He explains that when his Stand’s shadow came into contact with Polnareff’s shadow, it was able to turn him into a child. And the reason why he was forgetting Jotaro’s name is because his mind is slowly becoming that of his childhood memories, so his adult memories are fading away.
Alessi attacks Polnareff and gets him stuck between some wooden boards. He doesn’t want to waste any time so he pulls out a gun and starts shooting at him, but thankfully he can still use Silver Chariot. Oh, but since his mind is becoming a child’s, his mental state is weak so Silver Chariot is turned into a “kid” too. AND IT’S CUTE. But unfortunately, this also makes little Chariot weak. His blade swatted away one of the bullets, but it in turn bent his blade. Set appears again, now holding an ax, ready to chop off Polnareff’s head when Silver Chariot swatted it away, which broke his blade. But like we know, the blade can ricochet and it pierced Alessi’s neck, and Polnareff made a run for it.
He bumps into a pretty woman, who notices his injuries and takes him to her place so she can treat him. Alessi doesn’t go after him, as he doesn’t attack him when adults are around. So this gives Polnareff some time to figure out a way to defeat him. But just like any Jojo episode, we turn to the funnies. The woman runs a bath to wash off the dirt off of him, and she calls him over to the bathroom to undress him. She undresses herself, wearing nothing but a thin short gown, and Polnareff is….watching her and smiling like an idiot. Of course the woman pays no mind since he’s just a kid. If this were his adult self, well…gross. Well, she undresses him and he’s freaking out, but he doesn’t understand why this is an embarrassing situation because of his childish mentality. He gets fully unclothed and cries about his dick getting small, even though he doesn’t quite understand why that makes him sad. (God…)
NO. NO NO NO I’M NOT COMPARING THIS ANIME TO BINAN KOUKOU AGAIN.
Okay so this idiot is laughing and having a grand old time getting his face smushed into the woman’s breasts and groping them and getting so close to her. Everything is all great, and for once Polnareff is having a nice bathroom experience instea-
Nevermind. Alessi somehow breaks into the place and I have no idea where the woman is, but Polnareff is in a bad spot now. And we don’t get to see what happens until next week. This was a fun episode, and it’s always great to see characters get turned into kids because it’s cute. Polnareff…eh. But if Jotaro doesn’t get turned into a kid in the next episode, I’m going to be VERY upset. They didn’t show anything in the preview, but maybe they just don’t want to spoil it. I hope. Again, I don’t know how Alessi is going to be defeated, so I can’t wait to see how next week.
