It seems these Stands have gotten more powerful to deal with than the others our main group have faced. If Jotaro is actually tired after a fight, then you know they must be really powerful.

As we already know, the sword is the Stand.  The stand user was actually someone from 500 years ago, the blacksmith that made the sword. But the sword was left in a museum where Dio found it. And we find that that, indeed, Dio does have the The World stand….but I knew that already, but kept my mouth shut in case for the people who are completely new to this and amazingly avoided apoilers.

Polnareff fights off against the barber possessed by Anubis, and Jotaro finally wakes up. Polnareff doesn’t stand a chance against Anubis this time. It’s gotten faster and stronger. And Anubis also has the ability to remember the techniques and tricks from someone, so when Polnareff tried the blade-detach thing from Silver Chariot again, it didn’t work because Anubis saw it coming. But luckily Jotaro is there, so he took the fight. He managed to knock the barber outside, but it really took a lot out of him. The barber stands up again and Jotaro is fairing pretty well. Star Platinum itself is a pretty strong stand that is precise and fast, but what makes it even more powerful is Jotaro himself. The thing about him is that he never loses his cool. Even when he’s in a bad situation, he can still stay calm, unlike, say, Polnareff.

Star Platinum catches the sword with its hands and breaks it in half and knock out the barber. The boys sheath the sword without touching it and are about to throw it in the Nile, until an officer appears because of the commotion. He tries taking the sword from Polnareff, but Polnareff accidentally unsheaths it…and you can guess what happens.

Shit

Yeah, it’s even worse when Polnareff uses both swords from Anubis and Silver Chariot. Jotaro is freaking out a bit, thinking that he might have to kill Polnareff, because if he doesn’t give it his all he’s going to get himself killed instead.

He’s so cool! *swoon*

Like I mentioned before, Anubis learns the attacks and techniques, so Anubis learns everything about Star Platinum. So when they try to catch the sword again, it just stabs Jotaro. The fight had been exhausting so far, as Anubis’ attacks kept getting faster and stronger, which Jotaro was having trouble keeping up with, and it looked like possessed Polnareff was having the upper hand. With the sword lodged into his torso, Jotaro comes up with the idea to make Star Platinum punch the sword to break it into pieces, which he did. It’s broken, making the sword useless now, with Polnareff finally back to normal. Jotaro is extremely tired and can’t even walk back to Joseph and Avdol, which can tell you just how much the fight really took out of him. This was the first time a Stand didn’t use any tricks or gimmicks to surprise them. It was just a straight up battle full of combat, and plus since it was a sword, it was a little harder for Jotaro because Star Platinum only uses its fists. Even worse because his opponent was Polnareff, and he even admitted that he could be killed by him. Good thing Jotaro can always keep his cool and think on his feet.

Everything seems fine and well. Polnareff wakes up and they’re about to leave when we see a little boy near the scene catch glimpse of the other half of the sword laying on the ground next to him. It’s shiny and he picks it up, getting possessed by Anubis. Here I was freaking out, because I didn’t want the boys to hurt a kid. When the kid was about to throw the blade at Jotaro’s back, out of freaking nowhere, Iggy comes up and eats the lollipop the kid dropped, and made the kid trip when putting his foot down, so the blade flung way off from Jotaro.

The true hero

And this part was ridiculous, because while the blade is still flying in the air, Anubis is freaking the hell out. If it falls in the Nile, he’s done for because he’ll just rust. Well, that’s exactly what happens. The blade flies in the air, Anubis accidentally stabs a cow in a boat, and the cow’s lower body falls into the water, where Anubis falls to the bottom of the Nile asking fish and crabs to help him, then they just leave. Bye bye, Anubis.

Thank goodness they didn’t have to do anything too terrible. Jotaro gets patched up and Iggy attacks Polnareff’s face, all is well again.

I feel you, Jotaro.

Next week we’ll have a lady Stand user, so that should be fun. I love villainous ladies. I’ve been really enjoying these episodes. Jotaro actually showed struggle against Anubis, so that just means the other Stands that are left should be just as powerful, maybe even more, so that should make things more exciting. And Anubis saying he’d never be able to beat Dio’s Stand just makes me even more excited. I can’t wait until they finally find him.

Unfortunately still a weeb

I loved that Anubis screwed himself over by mistake. By using his power to phase through things while he was freaking out and going through the wall.

I was laughing so hard when that happened. I didn’t expect Anubis to screw up like that, but something like that had to happen when there was only 7 minutes of the episode left.

3/4 of this episode is straight shonen fighting show. When the unnamed boy picked up the blade, it suddenly turn into a laugh out loud comedy.

That’s one of the reasons why I love this series so much. 😀
