Now who is ready for another two episode of non-dance road related stuff? Because Lord knows I am! Man I’m so excited I better just jump right in!

So the episode starts up with the group working on their dance routine when they realize that they need a new super move to be put in their dance so they stand out. Since Haneru’s already the center they feel that Kanon should be the one to do it. The only problem is, she really has no idea what to do.

She thinks about it and at her school she sees her friend doing hand flips and wants to learn how to do it. After practicing for a bit her mother tells her that she has to go with her to her flower arranging get together.

When she arrives she meets up with a girl who seems to know about dance road and says she remembers seeing her perform.

You simply MUST tell me how you acquired so much hair!

She invites her back to her house which Kanon takes her up on. Upon arriving she see that it’s a giant mansion where she then runs into the mystery girl’s twin sister.

They explain how they both are qualifiers for Dance Road from another country and how they’re going to be rivals some day. Their parents are rich and travel a lot and their passion is to meet any good dancers they come across hence why they invited her.

Returning back, now more determined than ever she practices more until at dance practice she tries the flip and everybody loves it.

And..that’s basically the end of that episode. Yeah…I know. it wasn’t very exciting.

Episode 15 brings us all the wonderfulness that tinted flashbacks give.

The episode starts out with  a guy looking at a place that’s going to be torn down. Haneru and Kanon see him and begin talking. Eventually Mizuki shows up and we learn that this is the guy who taught her and kumo how to dance.

You know what this means! FLASHBACK TIME!

Yes, today we learn the story of how Kumo and Mizuki learned to dance.

Time for some sepiatone backgrounds!

Back in middle school Kumo always got in fights and Mizuki was a fat chick with glasses.

huh. Mizuki sure um...grew...up
huh. Mizuki sure um…grew…up

They get into a fight with some bullies but a guy shows up and saves them. He then invites them to watch him dance. And they go with him.

The next 8-10 minutes is basically devoted to him telling them about dance and how they should do it and all that good stuff. Even Mizuki decides to start losing weight and join in.

However, tragedy strikes when the guy ends up breaking his knee during a performance and can’t dance anymore.

That's rough buddy

After that Kumo and Mizuki were forced to carry on the legacy without him. Cut back to current time, they find out that he’s going to be a choreographer in LA and he’s happy knowing they’re going to carry on his legacy.

And that’s basically where the episode ends.

Okay, so episode 14. This episode, while Kanon heavy, was pretty boring. All we really learn in this episode is that a pair of twins that can dance have their eyes on the group and that they’re rich. We also learn that Kanon’s learned a new dance move. Realistically, that’s all that REALLY happened in this episode. So, if I had to recommend an episode to skip, it would probably be this one.

Wow...it's actually AMAZING how much I don't care about these two

The next episode, while nothing happens per say, at least it gives some look into why both Kumo and Mizuki dance and how they first came to be partners, so that at least was nice. It answered the questions about their pasts I had, so, while the episode wasn’t the greatest thing ever, I was actually more invested then the previous episode.

However, I might say I’m a bit biased as I REALLY am looking forward to the next round of Dance Road and pretty much everything else in the middle I…really don’t care that much. Sorry guy who broke his knee, you’re not my number one concern with the show right now.

That's right. You throw down. You throw down like it's 1998 in Harlem

For this episode, i would say you shouldn’t skip. Just so you can get so indepth look on their characters. But…if you DID miss it, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. This episode definitely kept me more entertained than the previous one, so that’s a good thing.

All in all, an okay two episodes, but….i’m glad I double posted.

Episode 14: 5/10

Episode 15: 6.5/10

Hopefully soon we’ll get back to Dance Road. As Captain Falcon would say “Show Me Your Moves!”
