THE DOG IS A STAND USER.
I already know what to expect from JJBA, so this isn’t the weirdest that’s happened.By the way, I haven’t read the manga and have only gotten into this series recently, so I’m pretty clueless on what’s going to happen, so don’t expect me to compare to the manga. But I’m aware of some spoilers, but nothing huge.
So these assholes FINALLY made it to Egypt. A helicopter arrives from the Speedwagon Foundation carrying a very important someone in it. An ally Stand user possessing The Fool. They count after The Fool, the only Stand left would be The World, which they all guessed is Dio’s Stand. But when one of the pilots tell Joseph and crew something surprising, they all get confused. Coming from someone also from the Speedwagon Foundation, they witnessed Dio and nine men and women meeting up at a temple. So it makes them wonder if they’re Stand users too. Also, Holly is in terrible condition. It’s been a really long time since the guys left Japan and made it to Egypt. But bad news is that Holly only has about two weeks until she dies, so the guys REALLY need to hustle.
With another Stand user helping them, things should be easier. And who is that helper? It’s a really ugly dog named Iggy. That loves ripping out people’s hair, and loves coffee-flavored gum.
And of course Polnareff gets the dog pissed. So the pilots leave in the helicopter, and the rest of the guys leave in their car. Far away on a cliff is a mysterious man, and you just know that he’s trouble. And sure enough, trouble begins immediately. The guys immediately stop the car when they notice a helicopter crashed into the sand. The Speedwagon Foundation copter. One of the guys’ corpse is gripping the helicopter hard, with water in his mouth (with even a small fish inside). The pilot somehow survived. They rush over and try to help, giving him water when he asked, but right then and there the water shaped like a hand ripped off the pilot’s head.
Crap, here we go. Jotaro tries to find where the Stand user could be, but they’re nowhere in sight. But the water hand attacked Kakyoin and scratched his eyes, knocking him out and blinding him. Polnareff carries him and runs to the vehicle where the rest of the guys are, and gets attacked as well. They then realize that the Stand only moves from sound and vibrations. Which makes sense since the Stand user is blind. Which is actually really cool.
Iggy anticipates one attack and leaves the car, but then he goes to sleep. So the helper is sleeping and the guys are about to die. Awesome.
Typical Jojo’s episode. Silliness happens and a Stand user appears. Out of all the parts so far, my favorite would be Battle Tendency. I’m liking Stardust Crusaders, but my problem so far has been that the show was becoming really repetitive. They go somewhere, Stand user appears, they win, they travel again. Repeat. Some were more interesting than others and showcased some guys getting the limelight, but it was a little boring after awhile. I thought the Stand users would be over with since they defeated all of them in the first season, so to see another…well…I just hope that they’re going to change things up. But I’m liking N’doul as a Stand user, and I’m curious about Iggy.
The animation is still as great as ever, characters are awesome, just the typical weird Jojo shit. It’s really hard for me to say why I love JJBA so much, but I just do. It’s so great and fun and entertaining and ridiculous, and I love every minute of it. Also, THE NEW OPENING IS SO COOL. Let the weird adventures continue!
