It’s time to return to the plot with our main characters. Chiyori is unconscious and is woken up by the girls. She doesn’t recognize them, so she’s lost all her memories relating to WIXOSS. The girls ask to be her friends like Eldora wanted them too, but Chiyori freaked out and ran away. Eldora can’t stay any longer, so she jumps out of her card and disappears.
Ulith and Akira head to the large building where Iona had held that tournament. She says she’s going to be moving there. Akira is angry at Ulith, but she still loves her, in a really sick and twisted way. Akira wants to become an Eternal Girl to heal Ulith’s scar, then turn back into a human and give her a scar, then heal her scar, then so on. A cycle of her weird love, in pain. They both battle each other, and we see that Ulith made Tama level up to 5 again. Tama doesn’t want Ruko to see her like this again, so when Yuzuki and Iona sense the battlefield, Tama does her best to conceal their location so the girls can’t find them.
After a long time of not seeing them, we spot Hanayo and Kazuki. They’re walking and Kazuki brings up just how different she’s been, and Hanayo gets pretty frantic. It isn’t until she sees Ulith on the street they’re on that she stops.
Hitoe gets a text from an unknown sender that if they wanted to meet Iona, go to the park. They do, and find her alone, thinking it’s Ulith. Except that she’s not Ulith. She’s the real Iona Urazoe. Huh. Okay. The real Iona recognizes LRIG Iona and just calls her Lrig, since that’s what she called her when she had been her LRIG. At the time, the real Iona didn’t like her life of being a model and taking up her family. It didn’t leave her enough time to herself, and so her wish was to not be Iona Urazoe anymore. She became an Eternal Girl and she got her wish. When speaking to Mayu, she showed no signs of anger or sadness at her fate. She didn’t want to be Iona anymore, so being an LRIG was okay to her. It didn’t matter if she was human or not. And Mayu didn’t like that answer. She got furious. She wanted Iona to feel rage, despair, to scream at the top of her lungs that it wasn’t fair. But this just shows Mayu’s feelings, and she really does want other girls to experience her pain.
Thinking Mayu didn’t like her after that, Iona mentioned to the girls that Mayu had probably intentionally sent Iona to weaker girls that weren’t suited for battle so she would be stuck in WIXOSS. She then felt that her body was hollow. She couldn’t leave it like that.
But wait a minute. Hold the phone. How in the world are Ruko and Hitoe talking to the real Iona? Ulith was in her body, right? Well, not anymore, because she became an Eternal Girl. But huh? Isn’t Tama supposed to be in her body? Nope. Because Tama refused. She didn’t want to be in her body, so then what? You can’t just leave the body there. So one way or another, the real Iona returned back to her body. I’m not sure how, maybe Mayu had allowed it.
The reason why Tama refused was because she was originally in a card, and she didn’t want to take the body of someone and make them sad. And she didn’t want to be the “bad Tama”. Again, Mayu hates this. She gets angry at her, telling her that Shiro is more spiteful than Kuro, and that it was a mistake to send her to the outside world, so she locks Tama up in a cage and seals her.
While this happens, the girls decide to make up a new name for LRIG Iona because they know it’s not her real name, and they don’t want to confuse her with the real Iona. It starts snowing, and “Iona” mentions how much she loves the snow, so the girls agree on calling her Yuki. One thing slipped their mind, and they forgot to ask Iona who had sent them to look for her. When Hitoe checks the sender’s name “Shadow Prince”, Yuzuki immediately knows who it is. We switch to Hanayo back home, and when she opens the front door, she’s greeted by Ruko, Hitoe, and Yuzuki.
It’s pretty obvious what Mayu’s intentions are. She just wants the other girls to experience the pain and loneliness that she feels all the time. When she hears them mention how they’re fine being LRIGs, she gets angry at them. Now, where could Ulith be? She’s an LRIG now, but for who? We didn’t see her in the white room, and we already know that Ulith had an agenda anyway. And poor Tama…Mayu’s the one who’s spiteful. I’m also really interested to see Hanayo and Yuzuki finally speak to each other, because the last time they did it was when they had made the wish together. So it should be emotional next week.
Aughhhh only 2 episodes left!! While a lot has been happening, for some reason the episodes have still felt kinda slow to me. (Maybe it’s just me?) These last two episodes are sure to be good though! It would be nice if Tama and Ruko’s dream could come true at the end. 🙁
