Sometimes, your parents will just go on, and on, and on, with stories of how they met each other. It’s not everyday though, that the very day your Mom is going in length about how she met your father, it’s relivant to your everyday life.
So this episode starts pretty much where the last one left off with Kaito’s mom going on about her romance with his Dad. Kaito runs out to perform a heist, which he pulls without a hitch. Once again using Aoko’s face as an escape. He checks the jewel and discovers that it isn’t the one he’s looking for, so he goes to mail it back to Detective Nakamori.
What he doesn’t know is that he was photographed, as Aoko, so we cut to this shadowy board meeting where this guy carrying a 18 year old grudge figures that Detective Nakamori MUST be the original Kaito Kid and that Aoko is taking over the family business.
I’m dying, i don’t even know how to deal with this. This guy is so far off base it physically hurts me!
Well anyway, going on this assumption he sends out a trap for Aoko and Detective Nakamori in the guise of an invite to a fancy dinner party. It helps nothing with Kaito decides to disguise himself as Detective Nakamori to attend with Aoko.
The trap is sprung, and it seems like Kaito is in a tough spot. You know what it’s time for? A flashback, as he discovers that this entire thng is about a case from 18 years ago or when his parents first met. Good thing his mom was just talking about this right?
As it turns out, his mom was quiet the phantom theif in her day as well. A similar trap set up to now was sprung on her by this guy, the very guy she was stealing jewels for!? However, his father swoops in to save her from this feindish plan.
I LOVED THIS PART OF THE EPISODE! First off, his dad is such a charmer that it was wonderful to watch and seeing his mom work was also a treat. It is no wonder Kaito is such a looker with such skill with genes like these.
AH, THE EPISODE ENDS ON A CLIFF HANGER! WTF IS THIS? NO, NOOO, AND WAIT, WAIT, N…NEXT EPISODE….HA…HAS CONAN!? -faints- Is it next week yet? Is it?
