Daitoshokan No Hitsujikai Episode 11 (It’s Official, Shirasaki is Worst Character)

I gotta say. Right off the bat, I had to check and there’s only one more episode of this show. And THANK GOD. Because after today’s episode, If there wasn’t only one episode left after this one, I would have dropped it. But you know what? For ONE MORE EPISODE, Hell. I’ll finish it.

So what the hell is this episode about? Well, here I go…I suppose.

So the episode starts out with the same thing as the beginning of last one. With the old library club kicking out Kakei and the gang out of their room. And considering they were never really an official club, they were just allowed there to be out of the good graces of the librarians, they have to leave, but not before bitching about it.

It’s then that Kakei has a vision about Shirasaki dying….AGAIN. So they have to try to go sort that out. (Hmm..maybe god’s trying to tell you something Kakei?)

But then they find out, OH NO! the student council decided to host THEIR thing at the same time as minafest! oh snap! And people aren’t going to come! oh no! Because…um…wait. I actually forget why they’re doing that fest thing again. What was it for? Because Shirsaki wants to impress her sister? Yeah. I think that was it.

Because of the whole death thing, Kakei finally decides to become a shepard. However, Kodachi is upset because she lets him know that only one of them can be a sheperd and she was trying to get him paired off she she could do it.

They then travel to the land of the Sheperds and the old guy burns Kakei’s book so he can become a Sheperd. However, no one will ever remember him.

As she begins to forget certain things about Kakei, Shirasaki freaks out and runs over to see him. She then kisses him. I refuse to show the picture of this because it’s nonsensical, poor writing, and retarded. So here’s another picture of Kodachi instead.

Now here comes the part that REALLY REALLY makes me HATE Shirasaki. Before I just disliked her. Now I HATE her. Basically she realizes that he’s going to be a Sheperd. He then gives a heartfelt speech on how he needs to do it to save people and how this is all he wanted his whole life. To which she responds like a whiny selfish little bitch over how she hates the sheperds and how she hates that he’s taking away her memories of him.

Okay. Know what? NO. Shirasaki. NO. I’m going to now tell you why you’re a whiny, selfish little bitch.

All right.

1. He tells you that it’s been his dream ever since he was little. You ignore that.

2. He says he’s doing it to help people. You ignore that as well.

3. He used that power of the Sheperds you supposedly hate to SAVE YOUR LIFE in episode 1. Without those Shepard powers you hate? You’d be dead.

4. He used those Shepard powers you hate to save your sister LAST EPISODE.

I hate this character. I really really do. He tells her how he needs to go off and help people (including saving her life again)  and her only response is how she hates him for doing this as she has to lose something. Remember how I said last episode that she’s in her own little fucking world bubble and no one better pop it? This is exactly that. She’s butt hurt that she has to lose something and can’t look beyond her own goddamn selfishness. This is not a good character. This is not even an acceptable character. This is a bitch who needs to grow up. She needs to realize that the world doesn’t revolve around her. And I hate her for this.

After that, a really weird scene happens where the girls think Kakei’s leaving the Library club. So…they try to get him to stay by doing…this.

Of course he doesn’t take this opportunity and simply clears up the misunderstanding. A message was going around that Kakei was becoming a member of the School Council in exchange for them sanctioning Mina Fest. It’s not true and it turns out that it was all a ruse started by that creepy stalker blue haired chick who was told by the Shepard to fuck shit up.

Also Kakei gets annoyed that he can’t seem to find anything to save Shirasaki in the different books. And i’m okay with that.

To battle the other event that’s going on, Senri (the singer chick) agrees to sing at Mina Fest and apparently people care about that.

And…that’s about the end of the episode.

God. This episode. This show is getting painful. There was NOTHING throughout the first 2/3 of this show that even remotely HINTED at a romance between Shirasaki and Kakei and now they’re acting like they’ve been lovers all along. They have not. In fact, by putting them together now, as i’ve said in the past you seem like a cheap child who doesn’t get what he wants and takes his ball and goes home.

And to top it all off, I could forgive it, if Shirasaki was HALF as good a character as Kodachi is. However, She’s not even in the same LEAGUE. She is a horrible, selfish, awful, irredeemable piece of crap and I hate her. And there’s only one episode left so she wont’ develop any. She’ll keep being a loser and she’ll get everything she ever wanted. Well fuck her. She’s gone through nothing and deserves NOTHING. You need to earn your happy ending. Not whine until you get one because shit isn’t going your way. Fuck you Shirasaki. Fuck you.
