So after Tribe Cool Crew had its one week delay we are back. And I have to say, thank god the wait wasn’t for absolutely nothing. Let’s go over the details of what happened in the episode.
Kanon and Haneru (see I’m getting names…only took me 6 episodes) have finished their training and are getting ready to compete at the big dance competition. Like usual Haneru is stoked and ready to fight Kuma but Kanon is her usual nervous self.
And of course Haneru’s friend from school doesn’t want to come because he’s still mad at him over quitting the basketball team.
They arrive at the competition to find out that they’re actually facing Tribal Soul in the very first round. Well…that was a bit unexpected.
So Tribal Soul decides they want to go first and they pull off some pretty good moves. Then it’s Cool Crew’s turn and they actually do a lot better than they did last time.
So even though they were amazing they end up losing to Tribal Soul. Haneru gets pissed and leaves. But then the moonwalking guy shows up again. What costume today? let’s see… last time it was clown i think….fireman?
(snaps fingers) damn. a cop. I was close.
He tells them that they should go back and see the end of the competition. They do and they find out that Tribal Soul won.
However, that’s when something Haneru doesn’t expect happens. The group tells him that they want to team up and become one team. Haneru’s not into the idea but Kanon really wants to so they do.
And FINALLY after six episodes they combine to form Tribe Cool Crew.
End of Episode.
Man, Finally. I’ve been waiting for these guys to team up since I first saw them. I want to see these guys have crazy combination moves and rock the place. I’m actually sad the episode ended where it did because I want to see them work together now that they’re a team.
For the first time in a while i’m actually EXCITED to see the next episode of something. I want to see them work together and have a dance battle with Jey.
(stops and thinks)
Did…did I just say I was excited for the next episode of a dancing show? Christ Tribe Cool Crew what have you done to me?
As for the animation, I have to say, even though the 3D dancing still kind of annoys me, the 2d animation’s actually starting to grow on me. It’s a weird style, but I AM getting used to it and I do see it has its own kind of charm. I’m strange like that in a way. At first I wouldn’t read One Piece because of the weird art. But like that manga, I’m glad I gave this show a chance. So far it’s gaining speed and I really want to see what they’re doing with it.
This particular episode wasn’t fantastic, but it makes me excited for the next one, so I guess that’s something.
All in all, next episode is probably going to be training again, but now that they’re all part of a team together it should be far more interesting.
