Well slap a Disney princess song on this episode and call it a musical, we’re having an episode where everyone talks about their dreams. HUZZAH!

What ARE their dreams? Well gather round and i’ll tel you.

So the episode starts out with the drawing girl being frustrated that she can’t draw that scene from last episode. She gets in a drawer’s block and gets mad at herself thinking she’s not good enough.

Sad people are sad.
Sad people are sad.

Meanwhile on the flip side, Miyamori? (crap i forgot her name) is talking to everyone at work about their dreams. The mohawk guy wants to be a producer or a director, one of the fat guys actually wants to be a baker (shocker)

The fat guy wants to work with food? Mother of god....
The fat guy wants to work with food? Mother of god….

And of course Miyamori has absolutely no idea because for some reason this show thinks I give a single solitary crap about that as they’ve brought it up several times throughout the series.

Oh woe is you. You have a dream job. poor baby.
Oh woe is you. You have a dream job. poor baby.

On ANOTHER side note we have Miyamori’s sister and the writer friend from high school hanging out. just cause.

Just 'cause
Just ’cause

Oh, and we also learn that apparently someone who works on this show hates banks as they have a flashback to the sister working at a financial institute and for some reason everyone who works at one is dead on the inside. So…there’s that. thanks show.

See this girl? she's already dead inside.
See this girl? she’s already dead inside.

And then the animator girl goes on a walk with another animator to clear her head. She’s given advice and feels much better.

Hooray for trees! and....walking?
Hooray for trees! and….walking?

She then gets back to work and does the drawings correctly. Hoorays? End of episode.

Um… there’s really not a WHOLE LOT to talk about this episode. Let me break it down for you.

  1. Animator girl is worried about her art. Then she’s not.

  2. Sister visits and then has to go back to her own town.

  3. People talk about their dreams.

that’s really about all that happen this episode.

There’s no great revelation, no big twist….just… a lot of talking.

Talking

And talking

Yeah you get the gist. It’s another “nothing really happens so it wouldn’t be bad if you had to skip this one” episodes.

And with that, there’s not a whole lot to say in this review.

The voice actor girl doesn’t show up till the end, I really don’t care about the main girl, and the animation girl is sad then feels better. It’s not n epic story that I can really dissect or talk about that  much. Sure it was an episode, but…nothing substantial to talk about.

Then again, that’s become the theme of this show. “Nothing substantial to review.” It’s a slice of life in the most literal sense of the term. It literally takes these people’s lives and shows a slice of them. And that doesn’t make it bad, it’s just…. very calm and there’s not a lot to talk about.

So. um…yeah. that’s about it. This is  a short one.

So remember kids. Apparently working for a financial institution will eat at your life.

Episode 6/10

P.S. Seriously, so little happened I can’t even think of a good joke to go out on. Um… Drink your school, stay on drugs, and don’t do milk. Meh. Close enough.

I was mostly just irritated with Segawa for expecting Miyamori to convey her already vague critique to drawing girl properly when Miyamori isn’t that sort of artist. If it’s so important, why in the hell can’t these people get on the phone and say these things themselves? Even a damn text! Email!! When I get feedback from my work, anything the third party has to say is quoted word for word and if I don’t understand, I ask for clarification!! Drawing girl’s self-sabotaging also frustrated me. Aaaask. Foooor. Heeeelp. She’s been working there, what, over a year now? That’s more than enough time to realize that refusing to ask questions in fear of sounding stupid is the worst thing anyone can do when deadlines are involved.

I just…really…REALLY don’t want to work in Japan after watching this show. I’d be the person who ends up stabbing their co-worker to death with a stapler.

I feel bad for liking the episode… But you do have a point. Even so, it’s really just the opinion of the viewer, isn’t it? You need a multicast of audiences in order to get the best review.
