We’ve taken a break from the raid and now our focus has been placed on Akihabara, mainly Princess Lenessia and Akatsuki. There was no action today. It was more cute, lovey-dovey talk and also some self-reflection from our little ninja.
Originally, it was Akatsuki’s job to look over the princess, but now Marie, Henrietta, and Serara have joined in. Things have become a lot more livelier and fun, making the princess wear a really short Santa dress. Of course Akatsuki was then dressed up as a reindeer, and it was adorable.
The adventurers are teaching the princess about Christmas, to which she does not understand. There’s still so many things about the adventurers she can’t comprehend, and she gets more and more confused by the second. The People of the Land eagerly ask Lenessia about how the adventurers are, to which she can’t answer. She doesn’t even consider any of them her friends, to which was a surprise to her maid when telling her. Princess Lenessia describes herself as lazy, she has no interest in nobility and only puts up this front because it’s her job. She can’t compare herself to the adventurers, who she compares to jewels, unique and beautiful in their own ways. I wish the princess would lighten up on herself. It’s probably because she’s never had friends before that she can’t befriend the adventurers, but I hope things can change for her.
Akatsuki has been in turmoil. She think she’s weak, she doesn’t deserve to be by Shiroe’s side because she’s weak, and she wants to get stronger. Everyday, she watches guilds train in hopes that she could pick something up to become stronger. Not being taken on the raid, she describes herself as a second-rate assassin, who couldn’t even afford a first-rate weapon. Focusing on her own problems before, she wasn’t able to assist Shiroe and instead Minori was by his side, who Akatsuki is extremely jealous of. She went on to describe her as bratty, stupid, all these terrible things. What’s worse is that Akatsuki calls herself ugly. She really loves Shiroe, she wants to talk to him, be by his side, at least just be in his prescence, but she doesn’t deem herself worthy of it. It makes me pretty upset, but this just makes Akatsuki open to character development, since she was a pretty static character in the first season. I’ve been wanting this for her, but I want her to really find herself. She’s keeps her emotions to herself and doesn’t rely on others, so I hope soon enough Akatsuki will be able to open herself up, especially since everyone around her can see she’s not feeling well.
And that’s pretty much what happened. There were other small things like Marie buying Naotsugu a Christmas present, Nyanta taking care of some business Shiroe left for him, and at the very end, the same guy we saw last week attacked and wounded one of Sou’s guild members, so things are going to go terribly wrong. And I think this was the first time we’ve seen blood. She was bleeding, and I don’t think it was from the salmon she was carrying. But the weird thing is that adventurers don’t bleed….?
It’s Death Gun all over again…
Welp, looks like they are no longer immortal. Either the said weapon that was used has been forged in existence to kill them, or… it’s a new enemy entirely that is capable of actually killing them. Now I am more worried more about their lives than losing their memories.
Or NHK is just relaxing the censorship they’ve been holding on the series, and all the anime-only viewers are confusing it to mean something else entirely.
LMFAO, that would be serious unintended trolling XD
“What’s worse is that Akatsuki calls herself ugly”
I do hope you understand that she wasn’t talking about physical beauty at that point. She was upset at herself for having just beein insulting Minori, because she knew the things she’d been thinking about Minori were unjustified and untrue. She considered that side of herself, the side that would go to such lengths to villanize an innocent girl just because of her own jealousy, to be ugly and unworthy. It’s self-hatred, not about her physical attractiveness, but because she found hserlf mentally striking out at an innocent person out of jealousy.
“found herself”. Bloody typos.
Yes I did understand. My bad I just didn’t make it clear in my entry.
I think it’s just the censorship being relaxed, because in the light novel when people die they don’t turn into light, like in the anime.
