And finally here we are! My final first impression of the season! It’s been a long road, but we finally made it. And do the season premieres wrap up with a whimper or bang? Well let’s find out.
The episode begins with this girl getting ready for school. She gets her stuff together and heads out to gymnastics club, where she begins to do…gymnasticy stuff.
When a girl begins to talk to her and ask if she can take pictures of her during rehearsal. She wants to decline but is too shy to say so. Luckily a French exchange student jumps to her rescue and saves her.
However, as the French girl leaves she drops a photo of her and her mom. But before she can return it, the girl vanishes. The rest of the episode is the girl tracking this french girl down to give her back the photo.
She finds her, the french girl thanks her, and promises to do something to show her thanks. The End.
I feel kind of a deja vu all of a sudden. Yep. This is another one of those “nothing happens” series. However, unlike Ushiwareta, it’s not pretending to be about something. It knows it’s about NOTHING and that’s what its selling point seems to be.
Wait. what’s that? You think I left things out? Oh no no no. The entire episode is LITERALLY her trying to find this girl to bring her this picture back.
She goes to her classroom,
Nope! Not there! Quick! Run somewhere else!
Oh no! distracted by people!
Quick! run somewhere else!
That’s it. That’s everything.
Now…I know you noticed something about this that I didn’t mention. Where is the boyfriend in all of this? Well get this. THERE IS NONE. That’s right. That little description of the series LIED TO YOU. the “based on the game where the main male character gets a girfriend” is a lie. I don’t even think there was a single dude in the entire episode. No wait. I think two guys were sweeping the floor in the background. But that’s not the point. The point is, there is NOTHING to say that there’s even going to BE romance in this show. It’s literally about girls farting around doing stuff.
That said….I can’t really HATE the show. While nothing happens in it, it’s a PLEASANT nothing. It’s the kind of nothing where you can just lay back, relax, and zone out forgetting your troubles. it’s almost healing in a way. Sure the voice actors all sound like they inhaled helium, but like i said, I can’t really hate it.
The only thing I can’t figure out is, I really don’t know where they’re going with this. Is this what the entire series is going to be? Just… girls chilling out? IS there going to be ANY kind of romance? I don’t even know. But at the same time, I don’t find myself wanting to drop it. I want to see where it’s going, if it DOES go anywhere that is. Now, if this little happens NEXT time, the reviews are probably going to be just as short. Because it’s very hard to talk about a girl running around looking for a girl to give a picture back.
Also, there’s a lot of characters. I mean, a LOT of characters. I don’t even know the main girl’s name. I think the french one’s is Chloe. That’s about all i remember. They must have bombarded me with at LEAST 12 names. and they all look very similar so it’s hard to remember anything distinguishable about them. They all have different jobs so i guess I’ll call them by their job names. Like there’s gymnastics girl, and student council president, and flower arranger girl. Stuff like that.
But…meh, It’s not the greatest show ever, but i’ll keep reviewing it. Why the hell not?
Watching: Meh, sure
Blogging: Meh, sure
Head: 4/10 (what plot?)
Eye: 8/10 (art’s nice)
Heart: 6/10 (I guess….squishy for what it is?)
And….just because i CAN
Here is a picture of DAT ASS.

I counted 20 names.
6 full names, and 14 partial names.
1 was mentioned in conversation, so there is no face to link it to yet.

Sure it’s pointless, but it’s kinda fun sorting out this useless stuff. Makes this show from something that could be slow and boring into a scavenger hunt of sorts. Supposedly, there are 100+ characters in the game, so let’s see how many we’ll meet in the end.
