Or as the full title calls it, Danna ga Nani o Itte Iru ka Wakaranai Ken, or roughly translated, “I Can’t Understand What My Husband is Saying.” Now I know what some of you may be thinking. “Hideki you stud muffin. What the hell is this? This wasn’t even on the fall 2014 preview list! Why are you talking about it?” Well my sexy audience let me explain. You see, this is one of those 3 minute long shorts they play before and after shows. Not actually being long enough to be considered an actual show. But, regardless I feel I have to talk about this. Why? You’ll see in a minute (or in this case literally 3. yuk yuk)
The show starts off with the two main characters, a guy and his wife at their wedding.
They talk about how they’re not exactly sure why they’re getting married, but the woman seems all into it, and they tie the knot. Cut to their honeymoon. The husband is upset that they can’t go swimming because he wanted to see his wife in a bathing suit. So she decides to wear it for him.
For those of you wondering. Yes. That translator note at the top does indeed say “Then they had wild sex.”
and with that, it’s been 49 seconds into it, and i love it already. But lets keep going for formality sake i suppose.
We learn that the wife works at an office while her otaku husband stays home and blogs all day about anime. Unfortunately she doesn’t really understand anime, much to his chagrin.
In fact, normally to get him to do anything she has to either indulge his fantasies whether that being going to anime movies with him or acting moe for him to get out of bed.
The short little episode ends with them coming back from the movies and her asking him is he wants to go home, but he just smiles and says that nope, he wants to take her to a love hotel, to which she blushes.
There is only one word for this show. And that is adorable. It is EXTREMELY rare to find animes about husbands and wives, even moreso, one where they’re pretty happily married and no one dies horribly. Japan doesn’t really do the whole married sitcom thing in anime form. This is pretty much the only one i’ve seen, and much to my surprise, it really really works.
I think the thing that seals it for me is the fact that she really does love her husband. It isn’t like she hates him or hates her life, she really does love him despite his wackiness and puts up with it because she loves him so much. She even goes so far as to call him her soul mate in the beginning.
That’s what i love about this. It’s hilarious, but she’s accepting, even though she can’t understand it herself. I love this girl. also on top of it she’s smoking hot. So there’s always that.
The jokes all make me laugh, the art style’s my favorite style and therefore perfect, and the quick pace doesn’t leave me bored. Honestly the only complaint I have about it is that there’s not MORE of it. 3 minutes is really short, but they managed to make me care extremely fast, so i guess it did its job well.
Will I be watching more of this? Hell yeah. Will I be covering it? As it’s only a 3 minute long episode, i really would like to, so i’m going to do my damndest to review this as well.
Watching: YES
Covering: More than likely Yes.
Head: 9
Eye: 10
Heart: 9
Yeah. .you read those scores right. This show is fucking awesome. By the way. i ship these fuckers. because they’re adorable. In fact, here’s a picture to leave you with.

Ah yes. I remember the manga. It is published in 4 koma format if my memory was right. I liked the manga, so I’ll probably check this out soon.
