Cross Ange Episode 4 [ Ange is unlikable, what a tweest! ]

This whole episode was seriously ‘PEOPLE DON’T LIKE ANGE’ and I guess the episode is supposed to make us completely neutral to it? The problem is they make Ange into a bitch and they make the girls into jerks too, so what am I supposed to say, go….nobody? Well, at least they gave us one person to admire. Despite being jealous and wanting Ange’s machine as her own, Salia keeps the coolest head and is the nicest the entire time. MVP OF THE EPISODE EVERYONE.

We learn more about the characters and see Zola’s fangirls, or her sex slaves, and I’m not impressed by them. Namely, Hilda, because Hilda is so freaking petty. Her friends are worse in that they ruin Ange’s clothes and try to put her down, but it’s hard to one up Ange who despite being wholly unlikable is amazing in her suit. I think that’s why I don’t call bullshit on it- she has such amazingly glaring flaws I can give her the whole suit thing.

Ange apparently rakes in the dough with her abilities and everyone else is jealous. They should be a little nasty given she sucks, but I also kind of hate Hilda way more for being such a transparent idiot whose only motivations seem to be becoming the next Zola and I’m not impressed by someone who idolizes a sex abuser who sometimes is nice so that somehow makes it okay?? Once again scenes that should be sexy do not appeal to me because they seem more like a continuation of sex abuse and the like.

Hilda finally takes it too far when she sabotages Ange, and Ange kind of ignores the tests so she is slightly asking for it? But Hilda is still like…what? And Ange’s suit eventually goes down and rather than have someone save her, she wakes up to the first thing I have wanted to see of this show since it started. Ladies and gentlemen, LOVE INTEREST-KUN.

He has her tied up in his bed but I’m fairly certain he has done little more to her than get her into a bed, out of her wet clothes, and into a safe space. Plus, if she was drowning, I am safely going to assume she was suffering from hypothermic reactions and he was being considerate. What? When people in this show abuse you they outright abuse you, not tie your hands up in a bed after SAVING YOUR LIFE. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt but let me say this. FUCKING FINALLY. NEXT WEEK IS AN EPISODE I AM ACTUALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO.

Do you see this shit? IT’S SO DAMN KAWAII. I MUST HAVE IT! COME TO ME MUCH LESS AWKWARD EPISODES OF THIS SHOW THAT I MUST SEE!!!! Hell…in the preview Ange is even criticizing the writers for making her so bitchy LOL. Can next week finally begin the plot, the interesting concepts, and maybe people being less of a shit? We’ll see!
