Akame 15 Img042There’s going to be a lot of killing both in the near future and in the long-term, isn’t there? Night Raid have been tasked with killing a spy who’s infiltrated the religious organization, Path of Peace – whose insurrection is key to one of the future major operations the Revolutionary Army is planning. A direct multi-pronged invasion of the capital using all their resources and connections is intended to conclude with Night Raid themselves being sent in to kill the Prime Minister, which upon consideration will probably be harder than it looks even with the leeway of good fortune, given the presence of his douche of a son. Happily enough, the religious organization is just a means through which a larger conflict will escalate as opposed to a whole new issue in itself – I don’t think I would have liked the involvement of a major third party complicating things even more amidst all the key foreshadowing.

Akame 15 Img012Of course, I’m talking about the exciting confrontation between Night Raid and the Jaegers, which is happening at last! The hype is real! This is the ultimate battle, the destined conflict between parallel members of both groups that will most certainly result in a high number of bloody deaths! The Jaegers have decided to directly target Night Raid, and in turn Night Raid have come out into the open – this is clearly it, guys. The time has come. While it seems fairly obvious as to who will fight who, I wouldn’t put it past them to shake things up a bit and introduce some unpredictability into things, especially as it wouldn’t be as much fun to have everything proceed in a linear fashion. Akame/Kurome is a given, and Mine/Seryuu probably is as well. Everyone else has their pairings fairly malleable, although I do wonder whether Tatsumi’s destiny lies with Wave or Esdeath. The parallels clearly point to a fight to the death with Wave -who surprisingly said that a defensive Tatsumi was on the same level he was back then- but at the same time I can’t imagine not having some sort of tragic end to the love story between Esdeath and Tatsumi, especially after he’s voiced his resolve.

Akame 15 Img044I really appreciated the high amounts of Kurome this episode, it was a wonderful treat. Hopefully this will continue in the future too, although I just had the sinking realization that this needs to involve her not dying. And if she’s going to fight Akame, I can only see her getting killed given the nature of Murasame and the fact that they’d never kill off the titular character… right? I’ll bank on the chances of redemption or something. But for now, holy shit is Yatsufusa incredible. I feel like it’s legitimized my like of Kurome now! No wonder it’s described as a Teigu with an effect practically opposite to that of Murasame’s, which guarantees death – I can think of so many possible future implications of the fact that Yatsufusa can resurrect corpses of humans and Danger Beasts, all of which involve a great deal of suffering for Night Raid. For example, if someone gets cut down by Kurome, then their corpses can be used to fight against their former allies, presumably with their abilities still intact. It’s actually really good that they’ve managed to divert Esdeath, Run and Seryuu -and that Susanoo has gotten rid of Wave- because Kurome is trouble enough, putting Bols aside. From an objective standpoint, it would have been better for Night Raid’s objectives had Mine managed to snipe her, but alas it was not to be. Now they have to fight cute imouto. Ultimately, for the prospects I have with regards to future episodes, I think Kurome perfectly summed up the thought that went through all of our minds: “I wonder how many are going to die…?”

Did you see a armored big guy in the new opening, he actually been mention a lot in the series and the viewer not notice it, he is general Budou that everyone have brief mention in previous episodes.
Who do you thing will kick the bucket this time.
Hey, Yatsufusa ability remind me about something… Frostmoure… OMG! Kurume is the Lich King, complete with undead army and a undead dragon.

Ah, the Budou that Night Raid are counting on to disappear when they eventually try to assassinate the Prime Minister? At first sight he looks as useless and bureaucratic as the minister does, but if he’s general-class then he must be a serious threat.

If they’re going to eliminate the Jaegers as a threat, then something big must happen… which means there’ll be lots of unfortunate incidents. So I don’t know who exactly, but there’ll be a lot. Kurome said so herself!

Actually Budou is a honorable guy, he know about the capital corruption but unable to do anything cause he respect the law that military will not interfere with the nation affair, thus making him be unable to act again the king order + his family was given the mission to protect the capital and the palace by the first king so it not that he not want to do anything, just that he can’t.

This is a surprise! All along there hasn’t been a single person in the capital that isn’t twisted in some way. Although from what you’ve said it almost sounds like he’s just using the law as an excuse to not do anything – if he really was truly honourable he’d be taking action in some way. Maybe he might not be able to win, but then there’s always defection. Not sure how he’d fare against Esdeath, but from the sounds of it he could put up a fight at least.

I hate Kurome, her mind is as twisted as Seryuu, the only diference is that Seryuu is a freak for justice and kurome for the past. Well even when I hate her, I dont want her to die.

And even when General Budou is also a freaking monster, I don’t think he will be getting action in this season.

But Kurome’s so cute! And she likes candy! (inb4 she does something unforgivable) She has her funny moments as well, often with Wave, while there’s pretty much nothing of that sort for Seryuu. Fuck her black and white justice.

I’ve actually skimmed through what’s been scanlated for Akame ga Kill: Zero, the prologue of sorts which focuses on Akame’s past. Akame and Kurome were practically inseparable back then (until they were separated…) so I’m really interested in seeing how their relationship has deteriorated so far, and why Kurome’s so loyal to the capital.
