Marie’s notes are once again out, listing herself as both a dislike and a like for herself. But while Yu is pondering this, Marie stops him and yells at him for once again reading her stuff.
Marie and Yu try reeling in the guardian while Naoto is visiting Marie, who is wondering about ways to regain or make new memories. Yosuke interupts them by saying he needs a huge favor or he’ll have to transfer. It turns out he got a huge event cancelled on him and his father might get fired unless Rise will agree to play on stage for them, which she reluctantly agrees to if they’ll all be on stage with her. Turns out Marie is amazing at guitar without even remembering…well, one song anyway.
Yu actually jokes they’ll all go with Yosuke, to which a few outright refuse. Naoto encourages them not to give up since the song is simple. Most of the time from then on is just band practice. Okay, you know the BIGGEST flaw of the Persona 4 Golden Animation? By only adapting new material they lend themselves to a lot of hijinks without the mystery or intrigue to tie us in. I’ve spent most of this episode being bored.
Marie’s fingers bleed since her hands don’t seem used to the guitar, but she works hard to become part of the group. And Rise works hard to bring the whole group together. On the day of the concert, however, a false rumor traps her in her house. The group gets an idea and Marie starts the concert because she believes Rise will be there. Turns out, Kou and his buddy dress up as a distraction for Rise and save the day. Okay, hands down best part of the episode.
Well, it was until the end. . .when Marie gets a pain in her chest and a bad feeling from the sight of one man from afar. The man. . . is none other than Tohru Adachi.
