Alright! Last episode! Can It keep up with the pace that was the last two episodes, will Tsugumi stay with Anya due to their Soul Resonance or are we going to end on some BS ending where she’ll be both of their weapons? Will I rate this series high or low! Find out on this exciting episode of Soul Eater Not!
So it’s time to fight Shaula, or um, Meme in her place anyway. So Shaula releases her Soul Protect and unleashes her power all over the city, anyone the already possessed people stung have become possessed themselves. She leaves Meme to kill Anya and Tsugumi.
So uh yeah, they fight, Meme is kicking their butts…..Tsugumi remembers she’s a weapon….and gives Meme the antidote by kissing her. No, I am NOT making this up. I took a screen shot to prove it. However the antidote only sort of helps knock the mind control out…they have to…bring her back with the power of….
Friendship. OF FUCKING COURSE IT’S THE POWER OF GOD DAMN FRIENDSHIP! Let’s just call in the My Little Ponies! FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC AFTER ALL -flips table-
Alright, alright, I’m calm. I’m totally calm…..wait she’s picked a partner? Who is it? She grabs Anya’s hand first, my heart skips a beat…then she grabs Meme’s hand and picks BOTH OF THEM!!!!!! GAH, OH GOD WHY?! REALLY, SERIOUSLY REALLY? BOTH OF THEM? ARG, THAT’S SO SICKENINGLY PREDICTABLE IT HURTS! If they were going to go this route, it should of been much sooner, it does NOT count as suspense if this is all that’s gonna happen!
So yeah, the power of friendship and having two meisters beats Shaula, the town is returned to normal and everyone is happy. Shaula is a little witch soul, which I totally think that someone could of eaten to become a Death Scythe. -head desks- I just can’t with this…I just can’t….We get to see Death the Kid post credits, that makes me kind of happy. Yay Kid!
Final Thoughts?
Did I hate this show? No, I didn’t. Did I like it? Well, sort of…I liked seeing the cameo’s of familiar characters like Maka, Soul, Stein, Liz and Patty. I liked Clay and Akane, I liked Kim and Jackie, I loved seeing more of Sid before he was a zombie. I loved the twist that Meme’s forgetfulness was because she was connected to the witch. I hate the idea of being so indecisive, I just found Tsugumi to be a generally bland character….the ending was FAR too predictable and I don’t honestly know what to rate this show….I’m going to just go with staying in the middle.
5/10
Because I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it either. It might be for some people, It just wasn’t for me.

While I did like the series, the final episode felt pretty disappointing to me, mainly because I had a bad feeling for most of the series that Tsugumi would just pick both Anya and Meme to be her meisters, and I just don’t like endings like that usually, because it feels like there was no point to that conflict in the first place.
Also, I kept expecting Tsugumi to eat Shaula’s soul, like weapon’s normally would. XD I was wondering why they didn’t bring it up, but I guess since NOT students aren’t expected to engage in this kind of combat, it doesn’t really come up in their curriculum and thus Tsugumi didn’t know about the whole ‘consuming 99 demon souls plus 1 witch’s soul’ (or however it went) thing that the original series had going on.
