Episode two has a new Makishima monologue. MAKISHIMA MONOLOGUE. We see he actually influenced the villains BEFORE episode 4 and this pleases me sexually. I mean what.
Yeah Makishima. I’m looking forward to your monologues too. . . .I mean what? Okay so most of this episode just reaffirms what I’ve said before. This episode focuses heavily on showing us how Akane and Makishima and Kogami think. It allows for a greater introspection, most certainly, but it also makes Akane seem less charismatic and more unsure.
They’ve added a few moments to show Akane’s doubts and in a sense. . .I feel like they’re trying to distinguish between Akane and Makishima. Before it almost seemed like she was an unnatural person of good like Makishima, now I believe she is a normal person with a good personality who has obstacles to overcome. Still, in a lot of ways I worry they’re making her too weak.
Unfortunately the real fun doesn’t start until next week with Makishima’s clear introduction as antagonist and recurring player in the evil games afoot, but this re edit is shaping up to show more questions with the show we can all be clear on. AND SERIOUSLY now that I have a moment I must emphasize that Psycho Pass has an amazing dub. Everyone should be pushing for funimation to dub this because the monologues Makishima has lose something by not being voiced by the amazing actor Alex Organ. A lot of these moments would be better represented through the dub.
So far, the re edit is a welcome change. Let’s keep our excitement up for next week as the Inspectors and Enforcers try to hunt down the murderer responsible for the death of an online persona – and we delve deeper into the differences between the original and the new one. I know personally. . .I’m freakin’ psyched for episode 6. That’ll be. . .fun
Oki
Glad I’m not the only one who’s [coughsexuallycough] pleased by Makishima’s long monologues xD
Just you wait
It will only get more (fangirlishly) appreciative
