We begin with the friends hot on the trail with a newfound desire to fight the Quatre Knights and find Aichi. Kamui and Misaki are the focus of the search at the beginning- and we see immediately a girl who looked exactly like the shadowy figured Quatre Knight next episode so we know it’s her but the show doesn’t think we should know. The girl is an idiot and walking around looking for something named Cera to the extent of getting caught in a trashcan.
Misaki the girl and Kamui end up going to a doughnut store, but Kamui is broke. Masaki is basically only buying these doughnuts because Kamui spends all his money at her store (you pay my rent every month Kamui!) then another obviously Quatre Knight shows up and says her name is Ratie, and the older one is Cera. They run into Koutei Kenji who has forgotten about them thanks to forgetting Aichi, but knows these two. Ratie and Kaito then get into a vanguard match for fun- with Kenji as a Dimensional Robo and Ratie as a Shadow Paladin. With fuckin moe cards.
Ratie turns out to be top ranked too, known as the Uncrowned Witch in Central Asia for her fabled Vanguard playing. She uses the witches of Shadow Paladin WHICH I WANT SO BAD. Comet Witch >_o hngh. Oh god, I forgot Kenji basically uses a gundam deck. And his teamed up gundams look like dancing. Shit. Ratie uses Fiana and deals 5 damage, but then Kenji summons Shadow Kaiser. Which is incredibly hammy and has JAM project playing in the background. And…then Great Daikaiser…guys…THIS IS SOME HAM. IF YOU LIKE HAM DON’T EVEN BUY SPAM JUST WATCH THIS SHIT WHAT
THEN SHE USES GRANIER? WHAT? Shit. The defensive capacity of the moe Shadow Paladins makes me want to use them now. Quick, everyone, buy me these adorable things. OH GOD KENJI GETS A CRITICAL TRIGGER X THREE. SHIT. But. . . .Ratie still guards. The fuck is this Quatre Knight shit??? SHE THEN PULLS OUT A LEGION WITH FAMM WHAT THE FUCK? SHE DOWNGRADES ALL HIS CARDS. I NOW HATE THIS BITCH THIS AINT EVEN RIGHT. THIS AINT EVEN RIGHT!
Ratie then speaks to Masaki and tells her she came to make her despair. Meanwhile Cera and Kamui end up in much the same situation, with Cera monologuing about hope and challenges Kamui. They reveal their fight fields, with Ratie having a forest and Cera having a blizzard.
We commence with a battle and the likelihood is that they’ll both lose, but Misaki DID just see all of Ratie’s cards. Can she pull it out? (yeah no one has faith in Kamui don’t even lie to me here). Misaki realizes this girl acts childish, but she beat Kenji, so she needs to be hard on her in hopes of getting a clue as to where Aichi is. Ratie summons Fiana again and makes Freya into a grade 0, then summons Deidre. She manages to damage Misaki but on her next turn, Misaki summons CEO Yggdrasil and with the legion manages to get a 3 critical advantage!
Rati doesn’t understand the concept of friendship and seems confused on why Misaki wants to find him so badly, but the turn ends with Rati at 5 damage. Rati manages to pull the trick from before and makes two of Masaki’s cards grade 0, but Masaki pulls out a combo with her legion that seems like she’ll win. But of course, it’s never that easy and Rati manages to guard despite her extreme will and excellent fight. Rati puts down Misaki’s beliefs and then defeat her, wrapping her in vines as her form of torture.
Misaki and Rati reappear in the airport and Misaki repeats her name, and then Kamui’s. The Final shot is of Kamui facing off toward Cera, with their battle about to begin.
