Huh the girl with the scarf and the kid that Momo grabbed back in episode three are talking. Heat Haze Daze, sounds once again like a song I need to be running off to listen to after this episode.

This episode is about him, he thinks Momo was trying to kill him. That’s so…wow. Anyway, he bought himself some kind of keychain and he plans to give it to a girl to make her like him.

Plan failed.

His desired girlfriend is a bitch, with a capital B. She’s not even that cute! She’s not even the Tsundere kind of bitchy. She’s rude to him, blows him off entirely. She’s into older men, obviously….she’s such a brat! Hiyori, What a pain.

Now who is this guy, is he even human? He certainly doesn’t look like a human. OH GOD, can she shut the hell up? She calls the fact he’s a boy that can cook gross. She’s a big fan of Momo’s….

Now she’s going to get all pissy at him for not knowing that Momo was an idol. Can she really shove it where the sun doesn’t shine? By the way, have they even mentioned this kids name? Who is he? Does he have powers like the others?

He also told one hell of a lie to come stay with her for the summer. Something about summer school and a special class. If you want my honest opinion she isn’t worth all the trouble, but I am also not a young boy in love.

The inhuman robot looking thing ate almost everything while they were talking. Wow he has an over-glorified image of Hiyori. She’s nothing but a royal pain….

Hiyori and him end up in some strange dream? alternate world? She runs out in front of a truck, dying. It was a dream, or was it not? not gonna lie…might not of minded it. Have I mentioned I dislike her? the dream returns but there are pools of blood….

Also a black cat. So much red. She vanishes this time and then beams fall on her. Is this real? is it false, more red. So much more red. That cat. She drops.

This poor kid, I might hate Hiyrori but having to watch her die over and over again must be painful. The song kicks up, It seems like almost every other episode is trying to work in the song it’s based off of. Oh god, he’s trying to turn it around so it’s him that dies instead of her!

“Screw you cat” might be the best ending line to a episode i’ve ever heard….I am trying not to cry….but that was….something else….I just feel something like coldness. I mean, I’ve seen Steins;Gate but maybe because these were kids it unsettled me more. It just made me cold to see the end of this episode. It was a great episode! Don’t get me wrong but it just totally unsettled me.

In my opinion, this was the weakest episode yet. It wasn’t bad it was just that I really didn’t like the characters that much, the guy is just hopeless, the girl a complete bitch, and the white haired guy lacks personality (I understand that that is what they are going for but the voice acting and his presentation where just mediocre)…. I am really looking forward to going back with the other characters!

This is it. This episode is based off of the song that started the popularity of this series. “Kagerou Days”(or Heat Haze Days). Honestly, as a big fan of this series, this episode was the strongest so far to me because the song is one of my favorites xD I believe that you should watch and listen to the song because I think the song explains a lot more than the anime episode (weird right?). Free link to Kagerou Days(cuz I feel like you’ll be lazy to search it up xD): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPvwla-oLig
Also, if I remember correctly, I don’t know which song the next episode will be because there isn’t a song with that title. Dx

Actually, the next episode, Kaien Panzermast (translated as Showtime Loudspeaker Pole) is named after an instrumental track with a voice-over done by Kana Asumi (Ene’s voice actress) in the Mekakucity Days Album. It can be heard here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yqWkMlcd1o along with some other similar tracks from the Mekakucity Days and Mekakucity Records albums, but beware of the possibility of spoilers.

The song definitely explains much more than the anime does – I went in search of it after watching (and failing to fully understand) the episode, and I was surprised at how much depth they managed to put into a music video! I also found it a bit strange that the anime never depicted the aftermath of Hibiya’s sacrifice, which was the bit that really helped to drive home the chills in the PV for me.

I agree that Miyano Mamoru’s seiyuu job on Konoha wasn’t really up-to-par considering Mamo is one of the bigwigs in the seiyuu world.
But, (and I’m saying this without as much spoilers as possible) he will be voicing 2 other characters in this anime, and considering Mamoru’s amazing ability to easily switch voices, I think he’s fit for the job. But that’s just my opinion.

Also, as I am a huge fan of Miyano (and this series), you probably shouldn’t take my opinion seriously. TeHEE.
